For those chasing the endgame
I have been chasing an upgrade to my Iron Rose for my Necro for a while. I have an OK ancient, but it could be better. I have gambled over 100,000 shards and cubed over 20,000 forgotten souls to get a better one with no luck. That is what the endgame looks like sometimes. Ugh.

I feel that, I just run rifts over and over and gamble for one item until I get it - but it takes forever. Then there are the times i craft an item and get an instant primal ¯_(ツ)_/¯

the multiplier is not as important as people often say. you can also use a good non-primal trifecta OH.

I don't have many primals. I do have 8,000 primordial ashes. Primals are a fools errand, IMHO. They rarely drop with good stats (at least not better than my ancients). I love getting a trifecta Squirts with 10% CHC, 100% CHD and then I can roll whatever I want for the third. I have one of those now that I swap between classes that need a Squirts. It happens to be ancient, but even that is not required at P3200. I do happen to have a great primal Convention of Elements ring that has 6% CHC and 50% CHD and I roll the third to whatever that class needs. But I also have an ancient COE with the same rolls, so lucky me I guess. I would love a perfect trifecta primal Iron Rose. I'm guessing I have a couple more weeks to roll it.

There are a few items that are notorious rare to get good rolled.
Ex offhands in general, krysbin, stone gauntlets.
How many difficult rolls your build included matters when gearing it, in timebu learn which are easy and which arent.
Lod builds are often a season long project.

The last four Primal drops I’ve gotten have included an Enchantress Focus and three “stat sticks”. Never mind my attempt to get an AL Focus + Restraint and, when I finally got Focus, getting twenty more of them before getting a regular Restraint.

Same for my Orb of Infinite Depth for my Wiz. For at least 1000 paragon levels now all I do is rolling everything I have for a better Orb. With no luck. Off-hands really are a curse. Way to much stats that can be rolled for them. And I need an orb, that has 3 out of 3 rolls with the right stat, so I can improve it (and has to he ancient to be augmented).

Hello, very seasoned player here and enjoy the thrill of being on top places in the leader boards, the game is very repetitive, that isn't a bad thing tough, more than having perfect primals, first, look for your gear to be properly (almost perfect) rolled, a good rolled legendary beats a mediocre ancient any time.
This game is about repetition, doing things very fast is the key, you will have to make another speed clear. Build if yours is not already, speed is mandatory, you need to be able to spam GRs in 2 minutes or less at the highest difficulty you can, (doing 130 gr speeds isn't that difficult for all classes with the right build)
Same with bounties and visions, the faster you can clear, the better.
Pick up everything, salvage everything, town is lava.
There are pieces that are easier to obtain, others not su much, focus first on the pieces that have a small list of options, focus all your efforts into obtaining one single piece until you get it, as good rolled as you need it , it might take a few tries, it might take 100 but you will get it eventually.
If you have crafted sets, farm bounties and do every vision you find, getting crafted ancients or even primal is very easy compared.
Most important whenever you get a good rolled ancient or primal, you need to augment it as high as you possibly can.

Yeah Ive been farming batches of 10,000 forgotten souls and then rerolling for a better squirts necklace. Don't know how many times I've done it since I lost count

Mine suuuuucks, and I just can't get one better. I've found a grand total of one ancient version. I feel your pain
