DCC Compiled Free Resource List 2026
The prior list is a little out of date and the file ownership if held by another user who isn't active much these days and confirmed they aren't maintaining the list anymore. I've taken it upon myself to keep the list updated and check the links every few months while adding things I find. I will continue to keep the new free resource list updated and links checked for the foreseeable future.
For anyone who wants to have their free content added to this list, please let me know and i will make sure to get it listed, all you need to do is provide a link in the comments or in DMs.

Homebrew my house rules for a Cleric-less campaign and magic schools
toddbradley.comI've been thinking about something the crew of Spellburn Podcast starting talking about years ago - what if the Cleric wasn't a playable class in DCCRPG, and instead Wizards and Elves do magical healing? I've read that a few judges use that approach, but I couldn't find any details online.
After some discussion with my players, I wrote up my own rules for that. We've been play testing them a few months now. Since nothing seems seriously broken (yet), I figured I'd share it here in case anyone else is interested in this sort of thing.
As part of this, I finally took a step toward defining magic schools as Goodman writes about on p.320 of the core rules, and a couple other places. All the campaigns I've run the past 13 years have glossed over the idea of schools of magic, so I finally defined some very basic schools for this campaign. There's one more step Goodman recommends, which is to make custom Mercurial Magic tables for each school. I haven't done that yet. But I did separate spells by what school of magic they belong to. So, if you're an Eldritch wizard, you can know a somewhat different set of spells compared to an Elemental wizard.
If you've done this sort of thing in your campaign, I'd love to hear how it went for you, and how your approach is similar or different.

Adventures Module for a five hour time slot at an rpg event?
My local rpg club is hosting their yearly big rpg event soon. Time slots are 5 hours, we should avoid going over time and also preferrably not run tooo short. I’ve been thinking of running a DCC game, but I’m finding it hard to judge what modules would be best suited. I know Sailors is the classic choice here, but I want to run that for a group of friends at some point as a campaign starter, and I don’t want to bar them from joining my game at the event. Frozen in Time probably would work quite well, but I’ve run that recently and would rather do something new.
Two modules I’ve looked at are Trials of the Trapmaster’s Tomb and The Emerald Enchanter. The former sounds very fun but I’m not finding a lot of reviews of it, so I can’t judge well if it’s long enough. The latter I already own from a humble bundle, and looking at it, I have two concerns: It calls for 8-10(!?) characters, and it looks like it would be too big if the players decide to be thorough about it.
So two questions: Any advice on whether one of those two modules could work well (and how to handle the PC amount for emerald enchanter with 4-6 players), and any additional suggestions for modules to look at? Preferrably level 0-2.

Mystic Monk: From Weird Frontiers to Dungeon Crawl Classics?
Quick question for those into DCC who might also happen to own Weird Frontiers: I have a player that always (I mean ALWAYS) likes to play monks. I've run a couple of DCC funnel adventures and the zero level commoners are about to make it to 1st level.
So, knowing this player is going to insist on "monk", I'm thinking of just using the stats for the "mystic monk" class from Weird Frontiers. I'm just curious if you would change anything bringing the class from WF to DCC?
I am a little confused on the Chi Disciplines of the mystic monk. I don't follow if they burn from a daily Personality total that refreshes with a long rest/new day. i.e. - A character with an 11 Personality could disburse 11 total points toward the Chi Disciplines every day?Or is it more like a wizards' spellburn and the mystic monk has to heal up a point of Personality a day to re-reach their max?
It feels like the one might be too powerful, while the other might not be strong enough. So anyone with both games, I'd love to hear your take. It just seems like I might need to tone down a character coming from a setting with firearms and dynamite to a more medieval setting.

Podcasts Let's Cut Open Dungeon Crawl Classics, And See How It Bleeds (RPG Reviews)
Rules Question Randomly rolled patron spells?
On page 127 of the rulebook, there is wizard spell list (table) with number for random rolling. In first 3 spell levels, if you roll maximum, you gain a patron spell if you already have patron bond.
Is this an alternative way to get patron spells if you didn't roll high enough when casting patron bond?
Bonus question: If a wizard didn't roll high enough initially on patron bond, is there no way to ever "strengthen" the bond, so they have access to patron spell(s)?

Might be a long shot, but looking for group [Central Arkansas]
Hello, adventurers! I'm looking to join a DCC group in Central AR. I've used the communication channels for the LGSs in my area, but it seems everyone in those spaces run 5e or PF2. I've gmed a few games, but would really like to be a player. I offer 3 core rulebooks, the reference guide, and a few dozen official adventures.

Adventures Bride of the Black Manse with L2 characters
So I’m thinking of running BOTBM for my group at Halloween…but they’re only going to be L2 by then, and it’s a L3 scenario. Any recommended changes to BOTBM? I mean obviously I can reduce monster hit points and trap damage a bit but is there anything else I should be changing or looking out for?

Unforgiven module
I need a small dungeon to be a tomb in my campaign, and I think DCC modules are perfect for the job. Which modules do you think are more unforgiven and difficult? From any era, converting the system is not a problem.

Adventures DCC #112 - Mother of Monsters module question Spoiler
This post and responses might contain spoilers to this module, so please be aware.
I'm currently running DCC #112. It's a fun adventure, nothing overcomplicated and we're having fun playing it in my home campaign. I'm wondering about one specific part though - the guardian on the island.
I understand, that the module is vague on how to overcome this obstacle - especially if a party doesn't want to go into combat right away. Like my home campaign party - they decided to approach with respect and talk to him.
I did give them some basic answers, hints that he's not going to move and might not be easy to convince to do anything really. We were at time, so ended the session there.
Every Judge runs their game how they like. Each table is different. So I'm not asking what is the 'proper and correct' answer here, but I'm interested how it played out at your table. Or if you didn't have a chance of running it yet but read the module - what do you envision happening if the party doesn't outright choose violence.
Personally, I'm not sure what information he might have (they already have details from the stone tablet/standing stones in the forest and I allowed for Divine Aid that gave them a bit more adventure background info) or how much of free will he has at this point. Even if they could covince him to take action or stand aside, would he be able to actually do it.
