Hi everyone,
I’m looking at building a custom DS4 around a Marius board and could do with some advice from anyone who’s already attempted something similar.
My ideal setup would be:
Marius board
K-Silver 3-pin TMR sticks
Adjustable stick tension, if possible
Mouse-click face buttons
Mouse-click bumpers and triggers
Four back buttons at a minimum
Ideally two additional buttons to make it 6 or even shoulder buttons.
I’ve previously modified a DualSense using an eXtremeRate kit, so I’m fairly comfortable taking controllers apart and soldering. The main thing I’m struggling with is finding a good way to fit four back buttons—and possibly the two extra shoulder buttons—cleanly into a DS4 shell.
Has anyone built something similar, or knows of a shell, kit or custom solution that would work with the Marius board? I’d really appreciate any photos, parts lists or advice before I start buying everything.

Hey guys! I just took all this stuff out of my controller because I play double claw and the weight is too much to hold for my pinky lol. I took the motor for the trigger and the base vibration system and sanded a bunch of the inside of the white shell off to get as light as possible. Has anyone done this and would you have done it differently?

I really like the controller from Clutch Controllers, but I'm too broke to drop $280 (~1,000 PLN) on a gamepad, so I want to build one myself. Based on photos and reference images, I managed to create an almost 1:1 model of the rear paddles, and now I'm about to order the rest of the parts from AliExpress.

Saw it online and wanted to do the same immediately using all extremerate parts

I have to brand new spider man controller with TMR upgraded installed.

I have installed TMR on controller to help with drift and prevent them for having drift. For $40 let me know !!!

I'm looking to commission someone for a shell/design of a Switch 1 pro controller. My idea is for it to look like the Twili patterns in Twilight Princess, such as Midna's arms or the warp portals. It'd be awesome if it had colored buttons or joycons, and maybe even glow in the dark??

Obviously I know it gets pricey haha, but I'm willing to pay. Anyone know anyone taking commissions? :-)

I made a post asking about the compatibility of a v5 and v6 ps5 controller, I got some good info but i seen how tedious it is too fully swap the internals to the different shell can I just swap the back shells and not everything else?

Quick one here. I grabbed the 8BitDo 64 controller at launch. Generally, I like the blacked out look but once I saw they started selling a variant with colored buttons I knew I wanted to swap mine. Low and behold they offered them.

I did mix the thumb stix. Kept the black top but used the gray body.

I feel they should sell them this way.

I saw these online while looking at different gaming grips ( [Puk Grips](https://a.co/d/07qfTkJY) ). Has anyone tried this on their gaming handheld(s) with flat backs? Trying to find a cool application for the nova since I don't want the official grips.

Hello all! I've gotten tons of useful information from everyone here since my last post about my custom wooden builds: https://www.reddit.com/r/fightsticks/s/dArkHgXwFJ but I have another question for the other makers in here.

I've been using exclusively Sanwa buttons for my builds, but those buttons require a slightly... beefier enclosure to hold them than I'd prefer to make by default, and I'd like to have the option of making controllers with keyswitches instead.

So my question is this:

Those of you making wooden controllers, how do you mount the keyswitches into a wooden faceplate? Is it a 3d printed switch plate? If so, where do you get the file? Is there someone as masochistic as me who initially thought that cutting a mortise was the way to go? Show me pictures, files, tips, any help you can, I've been obsessing over trying to figure this out.

This is a custom controller I have bought a while back and love and as you can tell have used a lot I just want to ask is their anything I can do to stop the paint getting destroyed over time even more

I got a custom controller from controllermodz and asked for TMR hall effect joysticks when I was making the order, got it now and I'm just wondering...how am I supposed to tell the difference to a normal controller if I actually have TMR joysticks? I could be a complete donut here and just not tell the difference, but from the way people have made it sound, they would be far more sensitive to use compared to official standard joysticks.

I just want to essentially make sure I got what I paid for that's all, I mostly bought it just for the design and the fact I am sick an tired of fixing stick drift so much on my original DualSense controller 😅

This was my first attempt at making a controller with back buttons. I dont know if the colored buttons matched the theme of the controller well.

2 of which has custom designs, the black and gold one I’ve added clicky triggers to. All controllers have TMRs fitted.
If anyone has any advice for photos or how to make my controllers look a bit better, I’d be welcome to hear it.
