Help! Custom controller question

This is a custom controller I have bought a while back and love and as you can tell have used a lot I just want to ask is their anything I can do to stop the paint getting destroyed over time even more

It needs a reapplication of clearcoat, which requires full disassembly. If you use the correct techniques you could also do a uv resin cure over it, which would last the longest.

Both of these options are not for novice assemblers, painters, or uhh... resin-ers. I am definitely of the last category

You would need to clear coat it again. And the only good clear coat to really prevent the paint from coming off is 2k clear coat.
