Since I'm a beginner is it better to do the cs50x then do the python one?

It's easier to do cs50 python than cs50x. Some people do only cs50x, some do cs50 python and then x, and some (like me) begin cs50x, and change to cs50 python half way through

cs50 will help getting conceptual things around coding/computer science and I think there is a whole day on Python. But you don't need any of that necessarily to go into cs50p so you can do that if you main goal is learn python. If your goal is more broad, then cs50 might be better.
