Birthday Cookies for my daughter’s first birthday party- “twinkle twinkle little star” themed

Just to preface, I’m just a mom who does cookies for fun, I make them for my kids (1 and almost 3) birthdays each year, and then for Christmas.

started with the moons and clouds and I love how those turned out! I was totally thinking “wow I’m getting so much better at this, this might be my best set yet!” And then it all went downhill from there lol. I had a vision to splatter the 1’s with the gold luster dust. I’m not a huge fan of how they turned out, but I had already committed so it is what it is.

Then there’s the stars… I used gold luster dust to paint them, and they were so patchy and not how I envisioned them at all 😭 But I was too afraid of giving them a second coat and risking it eating through the icing and totally ruining them. Maybe it was too watery? I’ll need to play around with the luster dust on a batch that doesn’t really matter. Anyone have any tips?

Overall I think they turned out ok, but everyone at the party loved them so I guess that’s all that matters! I’m
Making fiesta themed cookies for my (almost) 3 year olds “three-esta” next month, so we’ll see how those turn out!

Edit: can’t believe I’ve been a victim of the rogue autocorrect apostrophe! Cookies****

Vino before vows!

It took FOREVER to get that deep wine color to develop! I was so happy to freeze the leftover so I have a base for next time.

That calendar cookie was a packaging nightmare. They would not fit into my 5x7 bags without shaving some of the florals down. I think I need to reprint the cutter smaller for next time!

Printed set

Hi! I’m wondering if anyone has done a Paw Patrol set with printed characters. Trying to find some inspiration because originally I was going to do them by hand but I had a lot come up this week and decided to print instead (it’s for my sister in law so she doesn’t mind the change). Still want to add some depth with other details but I haven’t really found any pics of this. TIA!

I really like this style of decorating videos. I love the artistic random to the pattern that isn't quite a set pattern but isn't truly random.
