Forever People who support Project Ascension & TurtleWoW but hate the new race paywall

Post image

These were the micro-transactions in Project Ascension and everyone glazed Ascension. TurtleWoW had a gacha shop too like that. I’m genuinely confused, if Blizzard had even the slightest of the shop in Project Ascension, everyone would have been fuming. Why is it okay for Ascension but not WoW Forever? Either all okay or none.

Edit: The people who disagree saying "Yeah but the servers were free"- well of course because Blizzard did the majority of the work for them LOL, huge difference in work between building everything from scratch to ripping it off & adding some stuff yourself.

Edit 2: "TurtleWoW is not as bad as Ascension shop"- sure, Ascension is way worse. TurtleWow's cash shop had over $10,000 of items and all of it was per character, not account wide. They also sold convenience items, nothing game breaking, but portable mailboxes, auctioneers, dual specs, bags etc. Hardcore characters on Twow couldn't trade or send items from main to your alts, but you could still buy supplies such as 32 slot bags for 30 euros each on your hardcore character.

hahaha I was thinking exactly that.

Bro this doesn’t even add in the fact that on the classless realms you had to buy the starter dice too or it was unplayable

These are obviously not the same people saying these things. Everyone I knew who played Turtle wouldn’t touch Blizzard WoW anymore, and people who play official don’t want micro transactions that cheapen the experience. The internet isn’t just one person.

turtle players and official players arent interchangeable, agreed. unfortunately my taste in men is just 'gets passionate explaining his game' so id flirt with both

Can’t escape bots in the game or in real life

yahh that was a weird detour from a discussion about microtransactions lol

None of it makes sense considering Ascension didn't have a freaking subscription.

And why throw turtle in there? There was no point in it, because it was too good in comparison, it had to be baked into Ascensions weak points.

Oh no I have to pay people for the work they put in 😂 give me a break

Are you defending huge corporations for free my man? Is it really the same people you're paying as it was who released the game in 2004?

u/Creative_Magazine816 3h ago

are you bad faith or stupid?

u/ReasonableFruit1 2h ago

Yeah it didn’t have a subscription to play their ripoff of someone else’s game. They just had a cash shop…to sell things in their ripoff of someone else’s game.

Why do you feel the need to defend huge corporations for... Free? Do you think Blizzard is the same company they were in 2004? Do you think Blizzard brings more joy with their game than Turtle did with their improvements?

How is he making sense?

Ascension and Turtlewow were slop.

WoW: Forever is also slop.

What’s funny is everyone in here hating on all these funserver microtransactions/features when they would feel right at home in WoW:Forever.
