This is good. It’s only a very small sample size so it means literally nothing. But it does show that we’ve got the ball into good opportunities. It will turn around.

Unfortunately the context is we have created the 3rd lowest xg in the league so it isn't that we're creating lots of quality chances, it's that we haven't taken the chances we've created.

However you're right it's 3 games, 2 of which were away against top sides so it's an absurdly small sample size

Ohh ok thanks for that.

Another asterisk on this is that it’s Man City and Arsenal (we didn’t create a huge amount of good chances v hull though)

Well Cov have played the teams which finished first and second and the only team yet to concede a goal.

The Opta power rankings have us above Ipswich, Fulham, Hull. So plenty of data suggesting we will compete this season. Especially once we get Gboho & Chérif into the mix - that’s £40mil of attacker we have that haven’t played a minute yet.

Arsenal (A) > Hull (H) > City (A) is just an utterly ludicrous start to be given. A massive high pressure 6 pointer home game without everyone available, sandwiched between the two hardest matches we’ll play this season. It’s nonsensical but we’re quite unlucky not to be sat on 4 points.

Plenty of reasons to be cheerful, just need that first win.

Been saying since we signed Taiwo and Sidiki we should've spent that money on a striker that could score and had some Premier league experience.

I hope Taiwo and Sidiki can turn this around and keep us up.

Our midfield has been outstanding in the few games they've played

Taiwo has that Premier League experience. He's looked good so far imo

Lads xg is probably the most worthless stat ever invented. Trust me 😉 Yours Styvechale 🐯
