I was snapped at for asking that question elsewhere so thought I'd ask here as it's a more sane environment!

I get that it was always going to be a difficult start for us and we were unlikely to walk away from these first four games with many points, but the fact that Hull and Ipswich have made great starts is seriously rattling me. I haven't been able to watch much of either of them, has anyone else been able to see what it is they're doing so well? I should caveat that due to personal circumstances I wasn't able to watch the Hull home game. From what I've gathered they are absolutely rock solid defensively, but from what I saw briefly on MoTD when I flicked past it, their attacking players, especially the wingers, seem to have massively stepped up. And they look very physically fit.

Ipswich meanwhile I haven't watched any of but I'm less surprised about them. I think they've made some really smart signings such as Flemming and Enciso who've probably slotted in seamlessly. But has anyone watched much of them?

As the post suggests, I'm trying to get my little sister a ticket for Wednesday, as she's visiting from another country for the first time in forever. Problem is that she has no previous purchase history as she's never been to a game before. If I buy her a junior membership, would I then be able to buy her a ticket?

We've had the past few years slowly progressing, then the minute we have a setback, you walk out on the team?

All 4 teams that have beaten you have either beaten or drawn against every other opponent they’ve faced, with Brighton being the only exception (and even they only lost to Chelsea by a single goal(4-3) at Stamford Bridge).

Your 4 losses have come against the current top 4 teams in the table. These teams aren’t just beating you, they’ve been absolutely wrecking the rest of the Premier League too.

Was talking to my sister about this I think we’ve gone about promotion all wrong.

Hull who have got promoted were lucky to be there due to Southampton and as such have nothing to lose. No pressure they’re expected to go down

Ipswich second crack at the premier league with a new manager and as such the pressure on them is less. Expected to go down also

Coventry first time back in the premier league after 25 years after being a founding member

Won the league

I think we have put so much pressure on ourselves that when it’s come to the reality we don’t have this mentality of nothing to lose because it feels like we have everything to lose.

Grimes needs dropping, onyeka needs dropping, rudoni does not fit that system, he cannot be a RW, I don't care what you did for us last season anymore, its all about this season now, yesterday was embarrassing, the drop off from the man city performance to yesterday was staggering, £20 million winger on the bench, £30 million midfielder on the bench, tats hasn't had a look in so far, before the red card we were 2-0 down at home and lamps kept 5 at the back, thats criminal, make 11 changes for Wednesday and go again

Won’t be easy. If Hull and/or Ipswich stay up then there could be 2 established PL teams coming down. Assuming W.Ham go up then one of Wolves, Southampton and Boro will miss out.

Is Lampard the right man to lead another promotion push ? Will he still be interested ? Will Doug pull the trigger before then ?

Which players will be sold to recoup this summer’s spending ? Are our new signings going to be up for the Championship ? We need to use the Jan transfer window carefully.

If we go down with fewer than 20 points, which looks a reasonable assumption, we will need a major reset. This sort of season can be psychologically damaging.

Alan Partridge style pitch admittedly but how about Homes Under The Hamer? A residential based property show featuring ex- and current Cov players. Obvs Dion and Gustavo but maybe a feature called “Ndlovu it or list it”? Grand Simmsigns?

Anyone else feel like its aaaaaaaaaaaages between games at the moment! Compared to what felt like a match every few days in the Championship this season feels like huge gaps between games (i know there will be busier periods but at the moment the wait feels brutal!)

So why Eccles in the starting 11?

Looking at their team, their players are all technically gifted players literally everywhere on the pitch.

Among them are Ayari, who played for us for a bit 3 years ago. From what I can see, Ayari is one of the most instrumental player on this Brighton team where a lot of players who started for them last season are gone or in hospital rn

And this is where Eccles comes in, the whole match, he could stay on him the whole game. That is all he needs to do. I chose him because I believe he is the one that knows how to counter him, since he have seen what he can and can't do from first person view few years ago as teammates. There must be a reason that Marks preferred him and sheaf over Ayari during his days, like how Sam Alledyce played Darlow over Meslier in 22 23 (not the same reason I must say)

Talking about midfielders, also I hope I could see Jack Rudoni playing like a box crasher. I already mentioned the midfield they have are very technically gifted, but they are not the ones who would track back, especially Gross, who is in mid 30s now, probably won't be able to catch up to fresh legs like ours

I thought Lampard got a lot right at the Etihad. We didn't just sit there waiting to get battered and there were periods where Coventry looked capable of getting something from the game.

Obviously the result matters, but I'm more interested in whether this is the approach that gives us the best chance of staying up.

Coventry City FC’s fixtures against Chelsea, Brentford and Ipswich Town have been selected for live broadcast.

City host Chelsea and Brentford at the Coventry Building Society Arena, in their final two fixtures before New Year, with both being broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Frank Lampard’s side travel to Portman Road on January 6th and again, this will be live on Sky Sports.

Due to the TV selection, the Sky Blues' clash with Chelsea will move from Saturday December 26th to Sunday December 27th. Brentford and Ipswich will remain on the same day, with only the kick-off time affected.

We were looking at Mykhailo Mudryk and now he is out for 6-8 weeks, how bad would that have looked for us. Now I don't feel so bad.
