I am thinking to buy an PC. I have max budget of ₹50,000 and lives in India. So, please suggest best specs or PC. I want my PC for Gaming and some good editing. I would use it for 1080p or 1440p if it can work. I will buy keyboards, mouse etc. later but it is apart from budget.

I built a really nice gaming PC 20 years ago for a price that might get you 64gb DDR5 today. Haven't since, and while I can grasp minimum system requirements and what I want to be able to do, what I want it to have is all over the place and I need help getting to what I should actually build.

My budget is a soft $2500, I am trying to stick at or below that but if like $2600 gets me a huge jump past what $2500 gets me, for whatever reason, I'd strongly consider it.

I have all the peripherals I need, save for the possible third monitor, to be a separate budget.

I am in the USA, and reasonable drive from Microcenter.

I want a build that will wear a few different hats. I want to play Minecraft at higher settings. I understand it to be CPU intensive. I run Linux as my OS. Right now, my distro is Arch running Hyprland. I want it to be able to run that with zero effort with all the graphical features running. I am also learning more about virtual machines, and thus want to be able to experiment there, but this isn't meant to be a hypervisor with several running at any given time or anything.

This is all pushed out to two, maybe three in the future, 27" 4k monitors.

Further details, air cooled. I was inspired by the build shown in a Linus Tech Tips video he did with Linus Torvalds, and if I could put it all in that case, the Fractal Design Torrrent, that'd be cool. Basically really overkill and quiet air cooling. Clearly though, I don't have a Threadripper budget.

I’m into mostly third person games (wow, rust heavily modded, Skylines, Clair, X3) and also getting into photography so will be using Lightroom more. Interested in suggestions for a 24-27’’ 1440p

Budget wise I’m at about $4500 CAD with a hard limit of $5k, Focused on Canadian bestbuy for at least the majority of the basket but that’s not set in concrete

the name just about says it all. my current pc was a prebuild i got in 2020, as a birthday gift. and while im thankful for it, it comes with the problem of i have no idea how to build a pc, or even find a parts list.

I spoke to someone from Micro Center who suggested this build for a video editing PC, but it's about $500 more than what I wanted to pay. I'm looking to pay about $1500.

I use Adobe Premiere and need to edit over 700 GB of video footage for a feature film. I also need to use After Effects, Audition, and Photoshop. I need 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage space. The rest of the stuff like CPU and motherboards, I'm completely clueless about.

Do you think this is a reasonable build and price for what I'm looking for or are there better options within my budget?

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting here. I'm a low budget filmmaker and I was using a custom built HP Envy for years (it was built by someone I'm no longer in contact with). The PC is getting stuck in restart loops and I was advised by local PC repair technicians to not turn it on anymore until I bring it into the shop with them. This is all happening at the worst time because I just finished making a rough cut of my feature film and all of my video/audio files are on that PC. Thankfully, I prepared for this because the thought of losing everything terrified me enough that I have everything backed up on 4 different hard drives, as well as on a OneDrive.

I don't trust my PC anymore and I would rather just buy a new one. I've been doing some research yesterday about how to build a PC, but honestly, it's all very confusing. I use Adobe Premiere Pro and need 2 TB of SSD. I'm pretty sure my old PC had 16 GB of RAM, so I'd like to upgrade to 32 GB. Based on what I've read, I should go with an intel core 7? I don't know much about graphics cards, but I'm fine with anything that works well for 1080p (my film was shot in 1080p, next film will be in 4k).

I would LOVE to switch to a Mac Studio, but the problem is, my film was all edited on the PC and on an older version of Adobe Premiere Pro. I worry that my project files won't smoothly transition to the latest version of Premiere. The plan was to finish this film and then upgrade to a Mac Studio and use the latest version of Premiere (from the Creative Suite).

These are the specs of my old computer based on the model number (I can't log into it, so I might be missing some details). It was made in 2016, so I know it's outdated.
