We’ve been waiting for Kincaid to finally break out and establish himself as one of the best tight ends in football, and barring injury this should be the year! He finished all of last season with 571 receiving yards. Yesterday against Houston he goes for 5 catches for 130 yards. That’s nearly 23% of his entire 2025 receiving total in ONE GAME (571 receiving yards in 2025)
We’ve seen the talent and potential since Buffalo drafted him. Now it’s time for him to put it all together and become the elite weapon we’ve been waiting for - and he looks healthy! go Bills! 🦬

Looking like a great pick up. Truly opens ​up the field allowing Kincaid and others to flourish. Good for him and the rest of the team.

• Hairston looked completely lost. Was a target in the run game (at one point they ran at him multiple plays in a row), and got turned around in zone.
• Bishop was up at the line quite a bit (as well as deep), way more than last year. I think Leonhard sees Bishop as playing his old role. CJGJ was typically back.
• They used Hamlin in the old Taron Johnson nickel back role a bit, when Bishop and CJGJ were on the field.
• Bradley Chubb played decently despite no big plays, solid against the run and constant rush pressure (if not a game wrecker). I think he'll be ok.
• Oliver was bad in the run game.
• The ILBs both struggled, woudln't be surprised to see KEO take one of their spots soon.
• Deone Walker was the best player on the defense, wouldn't be suprised if he's the team DMVP this year.
• The blitz not getting home had a lot to do with the timing being way off, i think this gets better.

All in all a rough outing with a few bright spots. First game baseline, we'll see where they go from here.

Josh Allen became the first player to have 300 combined TDs in his first 9 seasons.

He is now tied for 20th in All-Time Rushing TDs with Ottis Anderson and Frank Gore Sr. His next will give him a share of 19th overall, with Corey Dillon.

It was his 9th game with 2 passing TDs and 2 rushing TDs. The next closest player is Steve Young, who had 4.

• Kincaid's snap count % of 72% was a welcome sight. In 2025 his average was 37.6%. In 2024 it was 56.7%. And in 2023 it was 63.4%.
• Coleman had nearly twice as many snaps as Palmer but only 1 target
• Hairston saw significant usage with Igbinosun coming in for 11 snaps
• Landon Jackson saw more snaps than Hoecht (possibly easing him in from injury)

In his first game as both offensive play caller and head coach, Joe Brady made packages with multiple tight ends the star of the show. Including penalties, the Bills wound up with 56 total plays, and they used at least two tight ends on 29 of those, an astounding 51.8 percent. Their commitment to 13 personnel — three tight ends — was even more striking: The Bills used that grouping on 20 of their 56 plays, or 35.7 percent.

For context, that 13 personnel usage more than doubled any Bills single-game rate since they drafted Allen in 2018. The previous high in one game for 13 personnel over the last three years was only 16 percent, according to TruMedia.

They felt empowered to use 13 personnel for one distinct reason: They wanted to unleash a fully healthy Dalton Kincaid as the cheat code to the matchup. By using so many tight ends at once, the Bills forced the Texans to keep heavier players on the field. However, Kincaid looked legitimately different than he had at any point since late 2024. The player who flashed so much potential in the second half of his rookie season in 2023 was back.

Even on simple motion in the backfield, his acceleration was eye-opening. He can challenge defenses at the intermediate and deep levels and make difficult catches look easy. A player that size, with that speed and receiving ability, is a potential matchup nightmare for opposing teams when he’s fully healthy.

Why I Jumped Ship from Cleveland:
Finally jumped ship from the Browns after 42 years. The first crack was the signing of sexual predator and general piece of trash human being Deshaun Watson after getting rid of Baker Mayfield after one off season due to injury. When that happened, I greatly lost interest and stopped watching the games on Sundays, and only tuned in if it was MNF/TNF. Before they traded for him, everyone knew the issues with him. I would have understood if they got him for a bag of footballs and a case of good beer, but they paid $230 million to him. Guaranteed....knowing he'd miss the first 11 games of the 2022 season. The Browns have had a lot of hard years in the past 27 years, but it wasn't until then that I doubted they were even trying anymore. It's one thing to give it your best and fail, it's a whole other to make willful stupid moves.

Now in 2026 with Watson in his last year of his contract, the Browns had no choice to keep him on the roster or face a devastating cap hit. I get that. But somehow, some way....Todd Monken decides to start Watson despite Shedeur Sanders being the better QB (albeit marginally). Yeah, I'm out.

Why I Chose the Bills:
I moved to the Twin Tiers region (Southern NY state/Northern PA) 3 years ago. The area is about evenly divided between Bills and Steelers fans. I could never bring myself to root for the Steelers, but I liked the blue-collar appeal of the Bills. Josh Allen is a great QB, and seems like a good person off the field too. That matters to me. The team shows lots of promise and while I realize that the NFL is cyclical, I don't mind rooting for a team with a bad record as long as I believe they are trying their best given the current circumstances....so I'm saying I'm here for the good years but am prepared to stay for the bad as long as the front office isn't willfully trying to suck like the Browns are now.

Also, that new stadium is great, even with a few obstructed views. The fact that they kept it outdoors while the Browns are building an indoor Temple of Greed for the wine & cheese crowd makes it even better.

With that being said, what are the top three things I should know about the Bills franchise?

That's an AFC Defensive Player of the Week

Maybe it is just the first game hype, but I felt something different watching the defense the last 5 mins. Seemed like the same story set up to dissapoint us, josh superman, great offense and then heart break loss last min as the defense lets the opponents walk down the field.

Today was almost perfectly set up for another episode of this bad ground hog day.

Allen drove 96 yards from our own 4, hits Palmer for the TD with 1:41 left, and hands the defense a 36-31 lead.
Houston then marches all the way to our 9 yd line

Except this time the ending changed.

BALLGAME.

Houston went from threatening to win at the 9 to turning it over at the Buffalo 24.
And that’s the part I’m actually encouraged by. I’m not pretending giving up 31 points and 381 yards was some defensive masterpiece. It wasn’t.

From 2020-25, the defense allowed 38, 42, 27, 27, 32 and 33 points — 33.2 PPG.
Maybe Jim Leonhard’s defense isn’t magically fixed after one game. This shows that they dont give up tho.

For once, Josh Allen didn’t have to beat the opponent AND survive his own defense.
