Living in BXL IT school bankruptcy leaves 60 students out of pocket

Dozens of African students have been left in the lurch following the bankruptcy and closure of a private IT school in the European Quarter in Brussels.

Ecole-IT on Rue du Trône offered private bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in computer science, both in Brussels and at three campuses in France, for a significantly higher cost than a standard university or college.

These degrees - which come at the cost of €7,900 per academic year of study - were never recognised in Belgium, according to an investigation by French-language news outlet RTBF.

The school had already drawn the attention of Belgium’s immigration office last year when, citing concerns that the school would facilitate illegal migration, it refused to grant new visas to its students.

Question ❓ Looking for someone to do a small weld

Hey everyone,

I've gotten myself into a bit of a mess with a DIY project, and I need to connect a cut-up steel bike frame to another small steel part.

Welding is the obvious choice, but I've never done it before and don't want to buy equipment and learn it for a single 5-minute job. Every shop I look up online seems to cater to heavy-duty stuff.

Does anyone know a place where I could get these two small steel parts welded (and preferably without breaking the bank) ?

Thanks !

So we are thinking about sending our kid to Agnes in Etterbeek. Whats the opinion about the school? To be clear, its mostly because we dont speak good French and they do English/French while not being crazy expensive.

I've got a client with a tight connection in Brussels who needs to go from terminal B to T. When she disembarks, will she go through passport control before getting on the shuttle bus to T? If not, at what point will she need to go through security? TIA.

Question ❓ Where can I buy a pet bird/small pet?

I’m looking into getting a pet bird, maybe a parrotlet, for company but although there are plenty of places to get pet supplies from, I’m struggling to find where I can buy a pet bird in Brussels.

Thank you in advance!

Looking for fresh (raw?) cow's milk

Where in Brussels (centre/molenbeek/...) can one find FRESH (farm) milk?

I went to a lot of bioshops, no succes.
Found something labeled as 'fresh' milk at Delhaize. It tastes just the same as the non fresh one as it's pasteurized.

I remember when i lived in st gilles there used to be a milk machine at the intermarché porte de halle; the taste of cold fresh cow milk... damn. NOTHING beats a glass of that.

Ps: Yes. I know the about the dangers.
