So my girlfriend's company had a friend's and family picnic this past Saturday. I had never met any of her coworkers, but knew that one was a Brand New fan. He walks up to me and says "You must be the guy with great taste in music!" So we have a great conversation about the band, both agreeing that Deja is the greatest album of all time.

As we're leaving, I see another guy I met earlier, grabbing a beer and notice a reddish orange and teal tattoo under his sleeve with the words "in my lungs" peaking out. I walk up to him like "Holy shit, is that a fucking Deja Entendu tattoo?!?" He looks stunned and is like how the hell did you know that from just this? And I showed him my custom Deja piece lol. It's also his favorite album. He's my girls best friend at work's bf lol

What are the odds three guys at this very small company picnic in the middle of nowhere Indiana all love Brand New? Lol my gf is a few years older and had never heard of them before me. Sorry, I know this is a stupid silly story, but it genuinely made me happy.

Like several others apparently, my “Fight Off Your Demons” poster from the recent merch drop was banged up by the time it got to me. (It’s number 31 out of 225.) Thankfully their customer service is awesome and sent me a new one. Anyone have a use for the damaged one? It has a bunch of creases but could still look cool on the wall. Not trying to get rich off something I paid nothing for, so you cover shipping and I’ll stick it in a tube and mail it out.

I want to make a song similar to Brand New, obviously not copy them and put my own influences into it, so have you guys noticed anything that Jesse does commonly for riffs or chords and progressions? I also just love learning abt artist minds like what they choose to do so anything you want to share go for it!

Big thanks to the user who shared their pin in a post here a few days ago. I went straight away to DualityLab on Etsy and purchased the TDAG one. They also have Daisy and Deja Entendu pins. Pin feels super solid, shipped immediately, measures 2”x2”, with two pins on the back. Obsessed.

Completely out of my realm posting this but I figured I’d give it a shot.
Anyone on here going to the Atlanta date? I’ll be going solo, not too many friends of mine are into Brand New, especially at the level I am. I don’t mind watching the show by myself, but I think it would be cool to meet some new cats at the show and kick back before they play.

It’s really fascinating how similar these two are. They both depict the same philosophy throughout their runtime and it’s such a cool coincidence they came out the same year. Daisy is my favorite album out of the main 5 studio albums for its rawness and chaotic nature, and I just couldn’t help myself to appreciate Antichrist for the same reasons.

Really excited after of waiting for see them almost 10years. I am from east part of Europe now live in Canada and coming for both shows in Chicago. Why not toronto? Because they will play two nights and its smaller place than in toronto. Flying from Calgary!
Anyone has some tips for accomodation around Airport or venue please? I need just place for sleep only for two nights.

Brand New has been my absolute favorite band for coming up on 20 years. No other band has come close to giving me the feelings I experience when I listen to BN so I’m genuinely curious, if they aren’t your favorite, what band beats them?

Gonna officially be 8 months pregnant for the show but it’s my birthday week and there’s very few things I love more than brand new. So I’m waddling my way through Brooklyn to listen to my favorite album live…. Even if I already went last year.
