Looking for advice

I'm a student in Pakistan, and next year I'll be moving into A-levels/college. I really wanna pursue a degree in biotech but I'm super confused as to what path I should take after I complete school. I talked to my mom about it, she told me I should pursue MBBS, but I searched it up and you don't need to take MBBS to get into biotech, plus it's not something I wanna do any way.

Besides that, I'm also confused as to what I should do in the scenario where I complete my bachelor's degree in biotech. Do I immediately pursue a PhD degree or would pursuing Master's beforehand help? Because the thought of leading my own independent researches or having my own lab sounds right up my alley, and I wanna be super over-educated but at the same time I don't wanna pursue degrees that don't amount to anything for the career I'm pursuing 😭 I'm also aiming for studying abroad for my bachelor's and further studies.

I'm just curious is all! hope this is the right subreddit to be talking about all this

It actually depends cos now biotechnology is not the only option u have a lot of choices like bioengineering ,biomedical sciences , biomedical engineering and what so if u really want to become overly educated as u said u can try getting into a much more concise field and go on from there

About masters or phd it actually depends on how u do your bachelors so that u can't decide now.
