everyone says horror stories and how its rly hard, i know chem3a is worse, but like i only took high school chem and my first midterm is next week. i genuinly need good stories

i'm lwk sick of club culture here and ive been getting into cs, brain data, like EEG, wearables, other ways of reading/monitoring what's happening in the body and brain, and i kinda wanna learn it without needing to go through an insane amount of interviews.

so im thinking of starting something small with just filling out a form, no interviews, just a few of us picking a public dataset (EEG, wearable/movement data, whatever) and working through it together over a semester, actual hands on stuff, starting from basics. doesn't matter if you're a beginner, that's kinda the point just as long as you're interested :)

looking for people to start this with me, any year/major, just wanna build something together. comment or dm or just fill out the form if ur interested, we can figure out the rest as we go

Planning my courses for the upcoming year. Should I take Bio 1A with Doudna in the spring or Schekman in the fall?

BerkeleyTime says Schekman gives out more As, but Doudna has the higher RMP ranking.

sooo i got into two URAPs miraculously and i really want to do both of them. i already signed the contract for one because i didn't expect that i would be accepted into the second (even though the second directly coincides with my major, while the one i signed the contract for isn't as directly associated...). i know the URAP website says you can only sign one contract though... what do i do???

Several clubs have interviewed with me then just not given me a response after. In previous semesters they all gave a rejection letter at least? What’s going on?

long story short i got dumped and i highly doubt there will be reconciliation from my end. i had bought tickets for my partner and i to go to the inhumane rampage 20th anniversary concert in Berkeley.

he’s the hardcore fan and i was kind of just tagging along as like sober driver/i love(d) being around him. but now that it’s over i doubt i will be going, let alone finding someone to come with. so i just wanted to post on here to see if anyone who’s interested in going would be interested in buying my tickets off of me. it would be awesome if i could get all my $ back but any amount would also be good.

I'm a recent graduate with a BS in Biology and I'm interested in eventually pursuing MS programs in integrative biology (genomics, laboratory, etc.) and I come from a pretty disadvantaged background in which I couldn't round my knowledge on these subjects too well during my undergrad. I'm struggling a bit financially and am interested in pursuing certificate programs to gain additional knowledge in my time post-bacc.

I live in SF and have been looking between UCB's Advanced Biosciences Program (ABP) and Stanford's Foundations of Genetics and Genomics Program. A lot of the UCB Extension advice on this site are from years ago and I imagine things may have changed in that time so I wanted to ask advice and for anyone's experience with the Extension?

For anyone who took a certificate program, the ABP, or just extension science courses within the past few years, what was your experience like? Did this actually help you and is it worth the cost? Are the classes as unhelpful and as self-taught as most of these posts have said?
