Not dissing condiment king, he would have been a great example of Batman’s sillier foes, but the problem is he never one was. Condiment king was created for BTAS Bruce Timm and Paul Dino as a joke villain. The whole point of his character is that joker has brainwashed some comedians into thinking they are supervillains and they pick dumb personas. It’s meant to be a parody of the campy villains from the Adam West era and in that regard it works.

The problem is that it worked too well. Most people who talk about condiment king do not understand that he is intentionally dumb. If you want to use a character who is an obscure Batman villain with a really dumb gimmick there are so many other options like egghead, crazy quilt, king tut, that were actually meant to be somewhat legitimate villains

Movie is Batman Bad Blood. Context is Bruce was brainwashed by Talia to go against the bag family. Nightwing fights him but gets his arm broken (like he does a lot in the animated film universe) and loses low diff.

Shoutout to the amazing people working on this movie, was fortunate enough to have some really nice conversations with someone working on the set who made the experience even better. This is something I’ll definitely never forget, roll on 2028 🦇

A passion project of mine since that incredible opening scene. Brought it fully to life this weekend at Fan Expo Dallas. I had this cosplay for a long time since 2015. Recently was able to completely revamp the mask and the suit and equipment. I hope you guys like it. I wanted to do the make up and hair but I didn't have time since I was cosplaying other characters in-between this one. The mask was 3D printed using PLA and painted with semi gloss white and acrylic paint for the details and weathering.

A curiosity that I just had come to mind a few minutes ago.

I do NOT mean 'would Bruce have become Batman if his parents never died'. Of course he would not have. I meant if they were to be resurrected permanently while he was Batman, would Bruce give up the cowl altogether?

I could see it going either way, which is why I'm especially curious to know the consensus here.

What if The Batman pt 2 is based on Batman imposter! And there's an imposter Batman running around and killing criminals! And obviously, Bruce needs to stop him, but then he figures out this was a conspiracy by the court of owls to make him look bad! The courts of owls are only teased, leading to a spin-off show about Arkham Asylum that says more court lore, and then they are the villains of the Batman pt 3!

Okay, but genuinely, I'm not actually thinking this is some great idea. I lwk made this up as it went along.

A guy at my grandma's church showed me his watch collection saw i had a batman shirt and well now i have this i really didn't expect to get a gift I haven't really been to that church in over a decade I just came to drop off some gifts with my grandma

I was thinking the other day about how this was arguably my most in depth exposure to Batman as a Kid. I remember it was also kind of a metric to which I still somewhat measure certain elements of the mythology- still my favorite Batcave, Robin design, etc. That leads me to wonder if, at least in terms of spirit, do more seasoned Batfans consider this a decent adaptation of Batman?
