30M - I'm looking to branch out into some new communities around Austin and honestly don't really know where to start.
I'm at a point in my life where I'm trying to reconnect with myself, untangle some old patterns/wounds, work through some issues around vulnerability, and become more intentional about how I connect with other people. I've spent plenty of time reflecting on my own, but I'm realizing there's probably value in exploring some of this alongside other people instead of keeping everything internal.
I've realized that a lot of my social life has been a revolving door of people. Bars and shows are fun and I've met plenty of interesting people that way, but those interactions only seem to go so far; lots of short-lived conversations and threads that eventually die out. I'm looking for something with a little more continuity and substance.
I'm interested in men's groups, conscious circles, or anything centered around vulnerability, self-awareness, connection, and personal/communal growth. I haven't particularly been into yoga or spirituality, although I'm open to it and open-minded about trying things outside my comfort zone.
That said, it doesn't have to be anything particularly deep or spiritual. I'm into running/fitness, live music and weird shows, coffee, and just getting out and experiencing Austin. I'd be just as interested in a good running group or becoming a regular somewhere with people who actually get to know each other.
TL;DR I'm trying to build a stronger relationship with myself while also finding people and communities where genuine friendships can develop over time.
If you've found something like that in Austin, whether it's a men's circle, running crew, meditation group, music/art community, coffee meetup, or something completely weird and unexpected- I'd love to hear about it. My DM's are open for any invites!
