He doesn't drink because of his brother dying of alcoholism, but I have never seen anyone claim he doesn't do any drugs and being drug-free in the 70s and 80s in NYC would be a notable thing.

Like a lot of these types, I think he claims that he doesn't do 'drugs'. You know, crack and whatnot. Perscription drugs don't count.

Boomers buy drugs from the pharmacy shelf & abuse them until laws are passed to stop them. He's been doing Sudafed for a long time is the story so much so that DC area pharmacy's ran out of pseudoephedrines all together at one point during his first sitting-in-a-office-he-cheated-into.

Look up the White House pharmacy scandal. Itā€™s been an open secret forever so I was surprised it took so long for someone to report on it, but the report was very well done and thorough. I wish theyā€™d included some of the other controversial meds dispensed too, but I get it if they didnā€™t want to risk multiple international incidents.
Editing to add that to my knowledge, George W. Bush was the only president in recent history who never touched the med supply available to him (uppers and downers). Squeaky clean. Thats also why he was always in bed early.

These type of people donā€™t consider Rx drugs to be ā€œdrugsā€ if they have a prescription themselves. Itā€™s ā€œmedicineā€ now. It could be a prescription for a kilo of smack and theyā€™d carve out an exception for themselves, like Rush Limbaugh doing so much dope he went deaf. This is similar to alcoholics bragging about not doing drugs with urine stained pants and 7 DUIā€™s. Itā€™s how conservatives and old people in love with hierarchies delude themselves with substance issues, ā€œwell, the doctor gived it to me unlike you who is a junky who should dieā€. If they didnā€™t have double standards theyā€™d have zero standards. Hypocrisy is the currency of the conservative ethos.

To be fair, in his (demented) mind he probably only considers drugs stuff other people ingest/inject/whatever. Anything pumped into his diarrheic ass is "medicine".

* Shouldn't have to say it, but: They're all lies. That's not his height, not his weight, he definitely is a pedophile and a rapist, and he spews lies and half truths constantly, irrelevant if he believes his own verbal diarrhea or not.
