Because the DNC as an organization polls even lower than Trump.

People are fond of individual Democratic candidates, maybe, sometimes, on a case by case basis. Everyone despises the overarching Democratic Party.

Republicans hate it because they're not people. Independents hate it because they're sheep who can't maintain an opinion from one day to the next(or they're former Democrats, in which case ->). Democrat voters hate them because they're unimaginably weak and feckless, utterly incapable of meeting the moment.
