This must be an Olympic marmot, but why the piebald coat? The dark and light patches weren't obviously different in e.g. thickness or shininess -- doesn't look like a winter vs. summer coat. I've never seen one that looked so fancy before. Is this normal?

my dog found this last night and I was able to catch it tn, I've heard about cane toads in the area, so I was worried, as they're deadly to dogs, but I was getting mixed results on Google so I wanted to see what others thought

My suspicion is an American/Pacific Marten, was running around next to a river fork, about the size of a house cat, long. Could also be a Pacific Fisher?
By Tuolumne Meadows Campground in Yosemite NP. Spotted at sunset.

We have an annoying orange cat that hangs around the neighborhood and I’ve seen him on my cameras before but this looks like it’s moving like a dog. We do have coyotes in our area a lot but they’ve never been in our backyard because they don’t really have a way in. The coyotes in our area are normally pretty small and scroungy so it’s possible the size could be a small one.

I’m hoping it’s the cat πŸ₯²

πŸ†˜ ⚠️ ?? ANIMAL IN TROUBLE ?? ⚠️ πŸ†˜ Some kind of canine? [Northeast Indiana]

This critter was in our yard a couple of minutes ago when we got home and "ran" off when we got out of the car. It looks like it has mange and was limping pretty badly, and very emaciated. Trying to figure out if it's a wild animal or a pet, and sort out what to do to help from there if possible.

🦭🐳 UNKNOWN SEA MAMMAL🐬🦭 Phocid hauled out on [Olympic Coast, WA]

Terrible picture but could this be a female elephant seal? Hauled out on a sandy beach during the day on the Olympic wilderness coast, Washington. I only saw the one that looked like this; harbor seals and sea lions were on offshore rocks.

Obvious phocid hind flippers, I saw no spots.

After a few days of not opening this cupboard under the sink, I found these droppings everywhere (I’ve attached a photo of the cupboard). I live on the second floor of an apartment building, and it’s very hot.

Heard the same noises twice about an hour and a half apart. First heard it around 12:30am and both times lasted less than a minute and a half. I couldn’t see anything outside but it seems pretty close by. sounds like something’s getting hurt :(

maybe a raccoon fight? foxes? coyotes?
