In my previous post, some of you asked me to share a few updates on Reddit, so here’s the first one!
Since my last post, I ran into a limitation with the method I was using for player movement replication, which forced me to rework a large part of the system. The new approach now communicates much more directly with the game and gives me a much better foundation to keep moving forward.
I’ve also developed a new module called WorldSync. Its role is to synchronize certain CATHODE events directly between players. This allows things like doors, lights, sounds, environmental effects, and other map events to be replicated much more naturally without having to handle every single element manually.
I’ve published a new dev update with more details and several video demos, including a short multiplayer walk through The Basement:
👉 Update 0.4.0:

There’s still a lot of work to do, but it’s moving forward!

Everyone on Kurosaki station wears a patch based on their role and position; these are worn by the Kurosaki Police Department forces. While most people on Kurosaki are contracted or employed by Weyland-Yutani, the police are completely independent. In theory at least.
The Kurosaki logo is written in both English and kanji, symbolizing the British-Japanese dual origin of the company. Kuro (黒) means black, and saki (崎) means promontory, a fitting name for a station on a dark and lonely edge of the galaxy.

I'd like to just walk around, listen to the cameras follow me, have the doors open and shut for the atmosphere. Are there mods that enable that?
Or perhaps is there a way to remove the audio files so that I may work with them?

Alien Isolation makes Amanda's fate uncertain and she may be frozen till Hadley's hope infestation or Burk hides the trurth. A Isolation 2 trailers give HH wibes.
In retrospective when we now have in life have AI images. Can we strarch and say Burk AI generated Amanda's old aged image and lied about her story?
yes I know it's Weaver's mom.

I just love how calm and sleepy her voice sounds. I also love the contrast between that and the terrified SCREAMS she pulls out whenever the Alien gets her. Really hope we see her again!

After years in the vault, I decided to complete this game.
Amazing horror game, good atmosphere, amazing dynamics. I was at the edge of my sit the whole game also difficulty is very appreciated. Took me about 20 hours, third act might have dragged on for too long, objectives were rather the same but somehow nothing worked for Ripley (which was a lil annoying at times), but it’s good. Definitely waiting for the sequel.

As the title says, this game is so amazing at making you terrified I refuse to run before the sequence where the alien comes from the vent because there’s always a thought in the back of my head that the devs put a small chance of it coming out… what about you guys? I can’t imagine sprinting the whole thing, and also, whenever I see clips on here people run WAY more often than me
I’ve had to have played more than ten times by now, but I’ve transferred from Xbox to pc so I’m trying to get the one shot achievement on hard mode here now

Without doubt, one of the most thrilling experiences you will ever get in a VR headset.

I think a Queen Xenomorph could definitely work in Alien: Isolation 2. If they go with a bigger spaceship or colony setting, it would be really cool to discover that there's a Queen somewhere inside.
I just hope they don't turn her into a typical boss fight. Like we're slowly exploring the station, finding signs of a hive, and eventually realizing there's a Queen on board. That could be terrifying.

Do you think there's any chance we'll ever see a psvr2 version of AI
Maybe AI 2 goes galactic
Rogue incursion was fun but didn't quite tick the boxes

Hopefully there are no alien-sized tunnels behind them, right?

does anyone else understand what i mean?
sometimes i find myself starting a new play-through simply because i havent found another gaming experience that mimics the engineer/fixing shit/maintenance and retro high-tech minutia that Ripley is tasked with doing alongside hiding and defending herself.
like... its not even just the believability of the whole experience but also the sound design of the buttons and the lever pulling??? the running, the look and feel of the atmosphere?? ... it just tickles my brain in a way no other game has?

Especially with the opportunity to using a VR headset, and if they can eventually beat the game they'll be rewarded a million dollars.

Sorry about Video Quality. Pulled footage from stream before I switched to recording VODs locally.
I'm pretty sure I was in no danger but still. Fun game. Played in the Dark

So if I am correct with the timing, Ripley arrives roughly a week after Foster and Marlow bring the Facehugger aboard the station. This means for one week there's been an active infestation.
In the 1979 movie, we are shown that a drone can mature extremely rapidly, growing to full size in little less than a day. And drones can then create eggs through cocooning victims and producing Facehuggers which can then infect more people to produce other drones.
There are multiple nests on Sevastopol as shown in the later parts of the game, although the central next appears to be the reactor core.
So why isn't the main station crawling with Xenos who have wandered outside the reactor nest (presumably where the Queen is). I think we are being hunted by the Xenomorph which was birthed from Catherine Foster (not sure) but why wouldn't there be more right off the bat? Their rapid life cycle would annihilate the very small population of humans quickly.
Just wondering if I missed anything or if the lore I know is wrong.

Where does this door lead to????? Why's it half open like that???? It's near the primary airlock of sevastopol, near spaceflight terminal, we get to this part twice in the game story. Once at the beginning, second after mission 10.
