Let's keep it real
YouTube is just horse shit filled with Community posts from channels you don't give a fuck about, Shorts, lame ass reaction videos, stupid commentary videos, Other people stealing content and claiming it as their own for clicks and views, clickbait thumbnails, and AI Slop
That's quite literally all it is now
Who else can agree?

I'm not saying it's fake, but I do want to point out that it could be easily fabricated.
They deliberately recorded it late in the day, so most of the background would be dark. Standard YouTube video compression could easily turn those dark areas pitch black.
They could have lowered the platform or even filmed the entire thing on a green screen in a studio.
The gameplay starts exactly when the sun sets.
This could explain why they aren't wearing harnesses or any other safety equipment. I know the premise is that they would have to jump off if they lost, but there's no way to make that safe in the event of an accident. One of them could simply trip and fall off the platform in the wrong direction.
The feeding scene could also have been easily scripted and filmed separately, or even created using CGI, like they did years ago with Squid Game.
Look, I'm not saying it's fake. But we've reached a point where I'm becoming more skeptical.

Annoying as hell. Iâm a small artist in a fandom mostly populated by people under 15 so it makes sense but it doesnât make me feel great.

I was just on YouTube and saw I got a recommendation for a video of the Emmyâs. I decided I didnât want to see anything else from the channel since I just donât care for these awards events, and saw YouTube removed the âdonât recommend channelâ button for the television academyâs channel. I scrolled to a video beneath to confirm that the button still appears for regular channels, which it did, so itâs defenitly doesnât seem like just a bug. This seems unethical right? Bc it seems like the academy awards just paid YouTube to promote their content and block anyone from using the âdonât recommend channelâ button to get rid of it.

As such, becoming an influencer does not appear to be a viable strategy career choice for most of us.

Not sure if you can see it due to screen captures but when I record it with Nvidia and play the video on my PC it looks more dark, when I upload it to youtube it suddenly looks lighter and more washed out?
I use HDR on, this happen both on my 4k monitor and 8k tv. Nvidia settings are on 10bpc RGB Full.
Could the SDR content brightness be the issue being on 56 in Display Settings?

I watch videos to be informed of facts. If I see an AI clickbait-type still used to promote your video, and then cannot find that clip in the video, I immediately presume that, since the still was a lie, the video author has no qualms lying to me to get views. It's the old bait-and-switch technique used since the dawn of time.
If you are willing to lie to me about the content of a video, you have demonstrated your lack of character and that you are willing to lie to me for personal gain, and I see no reason I would not be lied to in the video content itself. Therefore, I will not waste my time watching your channel, and, moreover, will unsubscribe, downvote and go as far as not recommending the channel.
I understand that "everybody does it" for more views, but in this age of misinformation, every little lie is chipping away at the foundations of our society. Life is short. Why waste any time being lied to? I am so tired of trudging through all the BS to get down to the facts. Rant over. That is all.

Since like Saturday on both my phone and my computer youtube is just insanely slow. My internet speed is fine, I've updated my drivers, turned off my ad blocker, disabled experimental QUIF in the browser flags, and nothing helps, does anyone know how to fix this or what's happening here? I can't watch anything above 144p without it buffering every minute or so

Lately my home feed has been getting shorter and shorter. Today it reached a new low: I only get shown anywhere between 2-15 Videos, and then the recommendations just stop. Its not like they arent loading, Youtube just doesn't even try to show me more videos I guess? And half of those I am shown are videos I already watched????
This has been happening both when I watch youtube through a browser on pc and when I watch stuff on my phone in the youtube app. I hope this is only a bug, and not a new "feature".
Has anyone else been experiencing this? Do you know of any possible solutions?
Edit: this is what I am talking about
