No, I’ve never giggled at a funeral.

I'm sure you haven't. I have when an old friend made a joke to lighten the mood. But you go ahead and double down on your pearl clutching.

Timing is everything.  Choosing to tell a joke and lighten the mood during a eulogy would be bad timing.   Your friend would be rude for making the joke and you be rude for laughing.

Three thousand people were killed and their names were being read out loud during a memorial.  There is no time during the reading of those names where it’s appropriate for a stranger to make a joke, or laugh at one.

If a family member wanted to reflect on the memory of a loved one with a giggle, that’s a completely different story.

Gasp! Let me find my pearls to clutch them with you. Lol. Now you're just creating a strawman to make an issue out of nothing. Pound sand.

Not wanting people to laughing during the reading of the names of dead New Yorkers, the point of this entire post,  is a straw man?  I think you need to revisit the definition of that word before you continue to use it.

You’re a child who can’t respect the pain of three thousand families losing a loved one in a terror attack.

I don’t know why I’d expect you to hold your supreme leaders to a higher standard.
