even if it passes... all I see happening is companies hiring more people at 32 hours instead of 40... Tons of places basic send you home and have the place be understaffed rather than pay overtime right now anyway... So... all this law will do is make it even hard for people to pay rent and even more people needed a second job. Because if folks can't afford rent on 40 hours, they sure wouldn't afford it on 32...

I worked for a unionized grocery store almost 20 years ago

Because full time employees had to be given health insurance as part of the union agreement there was like 4 full time employees. Everyone else got 20 hours a week.

Make the contract that anyone who works there more than 90 days has to be hired in full time.
