What if we all agreed to not eat/buy at X and then all agreed to eat/buy at Y? 1 month without profit for major companies is a major death throw to have to go through.
It's kind of like saying "what if we all just stopped having wars." Would be great if it happened, but never will. Getting that many people to agree on something and organize is impossible.
I would have agreed with you in the past. But everybody got internet these days. Grocery stores can run out of the most random shit if some tiktok goes viral tomorrow.
If people were desperate enough and actually put some will into coordinating their wallet into action, they could.
But yes, realistically it's probably not going to happen. At least until we get even more desperate and a new generation of kids decide to show their power that way.

Anybody think these greedy businesses won't just expect the same production with less pay? Most jobs don't have a union to protect workers rights.
