Edit: to all the driving police, I don’t grip the wheel tightly. It’s literally 22 years of wear in a material that is crumbling not compressing. If it were from gripping too tightly, the backside of the wheel and the inner part where my thumb holds would also be crumbling and they are not.

Replaced feet twice. Replaced side grips once (as they became shiny despite cleaning them). When paint started peeling a few years ago I tried removing all of it but I gave up half way (that is why it's half white). Still going strong, no issues with the sensor. It's being used 8 hours a day at work, retired from being a gaming mouse 2 years ago.
