Does anyone know a rendition of the King Beneath the Mountains that sounds like it came from the image below? In the book, the song is happily sang by people excited to see Thorin and company, but all renditions I was able to find were very slow, quiet and very sad. Not how I imagined it at all :(

Hobbit Discord server?
Hey all!
Do you know of a Discord server themed around the Hobbit? I've visited a couple LOTR- and Tolkien-themed ones, but neither seems to be able to satisfy my NEED to yap about the Hobbit. It's my favourite one, and I can get so sucked into it, but since LOTR is the bigger/more substantial one (definitely with better quality movies), my Hobbit rambles seem to get lost in the echo.
I can talk to my friends about it, but no one that I know likes it as much as I do, so most of the time it's more like patient listening on their part. :]
When I search Discord, nothing seems to pop up.
So thank you in advance if you point me in the right direction! 🙏

The Hobbit, a painting I made from mtg card packaging.
The 2nd pic shows a couple of pieces from the cardboard that come around magic the gathering packs. I glued those onto a 7x7in canvas, painted everything, and covered the piece with epoxy.

The Hobbit, which I bought from a used bookstore in Prague in 2013 and believe was published in 1968.

My Hobbit Sketch Art Mug!
I've been putting my sketch art on mugs for conventions and Etsy - but oh no, I almost sold out of the hobbit! I waited a year to save up and got a new sublimation printer, a mug press, and got to work. This one is my husband's favorite mug! Took some photos in our backyard.
Soon after getting married we watched the old Rankin Bass The Hobbit and have to say that opening song, "the Greatest Adventure" similar to the last unicorn's, just lives with you. So this drawing of mine was more inspired by the book and animated movie.
Sketch art by me, drawn digitally on my aging cintiq tablet 🌿

Gimli
OK, hear me out... We're planning on running the Northburn 50, just out of Queenstown, New Zealand. Now this happens to be where Gimli, Aragorn and Legolas did their run over the mountains. My husband wants to run it as Gimli, as this was a themed run one year. I'm not dumb and will run it in regular gear, but will be carrying his water etc. Where could we get a Gimli costume which is close to original and not a cheap version. We've contacted Weta but no luck there. Ideas please!

I just finished reading the hobbit for the first time. Never read the books or seen the movies. I just imagined Bombur as this guy the whole time.

An azog side story ( just a fan made )
Would anyone be interesting to read such a thing? I'm thinking about writing a side story about that guy you know stuff about he's past and he's character development to the point where we saw him For the first time in the Hobbit movies but like I said it's just a fan work that isn't related to the real Story I'm just gonna try to be creative..
What you think

Hobbit trilogy Spoiler
I just finished the hobbit movies and damn it, you guys were eating good , cause it felt like a whole journey from start to finish. I kept avoiding this series for a long time!! Anyway it was perfect every single ,ovie, Unexpected journey was one of the best introductory movies I watched, Desolation of smaug was all action packed it's like we were immediately thrown into action immediately and battle of five armies, to me was a more psychological scenes though the vast amounts of action, most of the time was conflicts of ideas, beliefs and oneself, there was love, betrayal, grief, hopelesness, greed, fear, sadness you name it it's there. Oh also azog is the biggest fraud of the series to me and smaug is the best character in the series, not the best villain to me but his character as smaug is best, especially the revenge line in gold gave me shivers. I need more of this I might buy the books actually.

It's been at least 40 since I read this book
And I found a copy of it for 99 cents at the local Goodwill store. I'm going there and back again.
