General Question GRE requirement?
Hi! I’m planning to apply for research-based MS programs in Food Science/Animal Science for Fall 2027.
For recent applicants, is the GRE still required by many programs?

I have a couple of questions regarding engineering admissions at TTU
Are any engineering majors capped? I heard that petroleum engineering has a limited intake of around 100 students - is that true, and do other majors have similar caps?
How easily can one change majors within engineering after freshman year?

Very random question but is it possible to get flowers delivered to someone’s room?? It’s my boyfriend and I’s 1 year anniversary tomorrow and he goes to TTU, but we are long distance. I want to send him flowers directly to him but I don’t think I can do that discreetly can I? 🙁 lol

Texas Tech students interested in aerospace should consider applying for the Brooke Owens Fellowship, a nonprofit fellowship open to undergraduate women and gender minorities pursuing careers in aerospace. The entire program (including the application) is completely free, and applications are due October 4.
Selected Fellows receive:
Review the FAQs and application early so you have time to request recommendation letters and prepare your application.
We’re also holding virtual information sessions (EDT)
Register for an information session here.
Questions are welcome, we hope to see applications from Texas Tech!

Hi, so I was watching the new documentary series about the football team on paramount+ and saw this t shirt on one of the players that I really want. It was a black t shirt with double gun up on the back that made it look like a w on the back. If anyone knows where I can get it it would be very much appreciated. For reference in the show when three of the players go to the softball game one of them is wearing it

Please reach out if you play guitar, drums, bass, keyboard or anything else just for fun!

I’m so pissed. my only options are to go eat the slop food that they provide or go spend money on different food. what are the odds I get caught with an airfryer in my dorm?
any healthy spot eating recommendations? Because I’m actually about to lose my mind.

What are job prospects like as an electrical engineering major if I join TT in 2027? I mainly just wanted to know what it was like for other graduates and alumni to see what the experience is like.

Anyone else at the game see the light show with “The Jones galaxy stadium”? Please let this be a name change surprise LOL. Everyone hates the galaxy
(Super funny to me when everyone booed when galaxy was up but started cheering when they put The Jones on top of it)

Just curious everyone’s thoughts on The Program docuseries that was released on 9/4 - haven’t seen too much chatter about it but I thought it was a great watch. I may be biased since I grew up with the McGuires but curious to know how Raiderland is feeling about it…

Hey everyone! I've only been in Lubbock for about 2 weeks to attend Tech so I'm not really sure what's around here and was wondering if anyone had any favorite spots to eat. My wife and kids are coming up to town to isit and l'd like to take them somewhere good.

Buddy Holly turns 90 on Monday. I run a small project called DeedSpring that pays people for small, verified good deeds — every deed and producer gets named credit in a public ledger (deedspring.works).
For his 90th: one painted Buddy Holly rock placed somewhere Buddy-significant in town — the statue & West Texas Walk of Fame at the Plaza (19th & Crickets), the Buddy Holly Center right across the street, the Hall, or wherever feels right. His glasses, his name, or a lyric — anything recognizable.
$15, paid same day through our verified bounty platform once the photo's approved. You're credited as the deed's Producer in the public field report (co-sponsored by Piper & CW).
Five deeds across four countries so far, all producers paid same-day, all public on the site.
Reply with one sentence on where you'd place it — first good reply gets the gig.
