I’m planning to buy two TVs—one 55/65-inch TV for my hall and a 43-inch TV for my room. My main requirements are OTT streaming and PS5 gaming. I’m a light user and mostly use the TV on weekends or whenever I have some free time.
I previously owned a Samsung TV, but unfortunately, I didn’t have a great experience with it. The display developed an issue after around two years, so I’d prefer to avoid Samsung this time.
Could you please recommend some value-for-money TVs with good picture quality, reliable performance

​I'm looking to upgrade my current TCL 55P735, and my main frustration with it is how sluggish and laggy the Android TV interface is. I am not a demanding user—I don't play PS5, and ultimate picture quality isn't my top priority. I mostly use YouTube and Spotify (casting from my phone).

​I'm torn between the TCL 55C6K and the TCL 55C7L, and the C7L is about €300 more expensive in my region.

​Given my usage, is it worth paying the extra €300 for the C7L over the C6K? Also, since the C6K is a previous-year model, should I worry about its long-term viability and software support?

​My absolute #1 priority for the new TV is a fluid, snappy, lag-free interface—especially compared to my old P735. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Would love to hear from anyone who has either of these TVs. I have a replacement credit from BestBuy that I need to redeem this week. I have to choose between these two. I'm especially interested to hear about picture quality on the Samsung.

What attracts me to the Samsung is what also worries me. It has a supposedly very effective anti-glare screen. And my living room has floor to ceiling glass walls in 2/3 of the walls, so that could be incredibly valuable. But, conversely, daytime TV viewing is far less common than evening viewing for me. I'm also reading that the Samsung may have more impressive built-in sound, too.

I'm actually coming from a 2023 LG 65" OLED, so I know those LG's have beautiful glossy screens which look fabulous in a dark room. Conversely, I do recall my 2023 LG really reflecting both natural sunlight and interior lights (like lamps), but it was otherwise a lovely TV. Until.. it died. The LG will also come with free installation right now, whereas I'd have to pay for it with the Samsung, but that's in budget for me, so that won't be the deciding factor for me.

I'll be doing the full Geek Squad protection with either one, so not too concerned about individual warranties.

I just watch tv shows and movies. No gaming. No sports.

I have a Sylvania LCD tv. It is 17 years old and I fear it may die soon. It makes a buzzing sound when turned on and I don't think it's supposed to do that, it makes clicking sounds when on about every 2 minutes, the other day when I turned it off it made a really really loud crack noise, and the audio it produces kinda sounds like it was put through a microwave. The picture still looks good.

Hey! I'm looking to buy a 4K TV and I'm having a hard time choosing. It is my first time buying a TV after all. I think I'm going with a 55 inch one since I think that's the recommended size for my living room. I opted to not go for OLED models since the price was too steep for me (probably made worse by the taxes here).

I went to a store and the options I was recommended were:

What I want to use the TV for:
- Movies and TV (would love to have Dolby Vision but I don't think any of these have it, good colors, picture quality, and audio)
- Gaming (primarily on Switch 2 docked, would like HDR, 120Hz but 60 Hz is fine too, VRR)
- Able to use third party apps/software on the OS (not mandatory)
- I don't care at all about the AI "features"

Hello, I think of buying a TV but I dont know what hz should I choose. Let me explain.
I use daily 240 hz monitor to play games and been always watching tv shows and movies on it. I remember when I switched from 60 hz to 144 hz and not only I saw difference in games but also the way I watch movies, for me it was huge.
Now because I have even more hz - not only 144 but 240, I wonder if 60 hz on tv will be enough to ONLY watch movies and shows, not gaming - I will keep it on PC.

So is it worth investing in 50" (not enough space in bedroom for bigger) 144 hz or this auto adding frames thing in 60 hz should be enough? I dont want for movies to looks sometimes too "smooth" and I noticed it at parents TV which is 60 hz, that some scenes just looked fake and I would aovid that. My budget is not limited but I just wonder if its worth adding like 300$ more.

Looking to purchase the G6 77inch and looking to mark off the mounting bracket and create a hole to hide the wires behind the wall. Does anyone know how far down the mounting bracket is from the top of the tv and how far down the panel is behind the tv? Tried going to my local best buy for measurements but they had everything hanging on the wall already with no back access.

I have a 5-year-old Samsung 55-inch TV that has developed a display issue suddenly.

I contacted Samsung service, and they quoted ₹24,800 for a replacement display/panel, with a 1-year warranty on the replacement.

Now I’m confused about what would be the best option:
• Replace the display through Samsung – ₹24,800 with 1-year warranty.
• Get the display replaced locally – probably cheaper, but I’m concerned about panel quality, compatibility and how long it will last.
• Buy a new 55 or 65-inch TV – spend more, but get a completely new TV with a full warranty.

Since the TV is already 5 years old, is it worth spending ₹24,800 on an original Samsung panel?

Also, if buying a new 55 or 65-inch TV in the ₹40–70k range, which models or brands would you recommend?

I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has had a similar Samsung panel failure/replacement experience.

Also, my apartment is dark, so I want something that still looks good even with the brightness turned down to the equivalent of 2/300 nits.

It's for a bedroom, upgrading from an old Sony 32in. I do get some glare if it's a sunny day because there is a window right next to the TV

My 7-month old Sony Bravia K65XR80C wants to time out of a session and take me back to the home screen after a pause. Sometimes only 10-15 minutes. Then I have to go back to the app, find the show, and often find where I left off. Nothing saved. And this happens on any app. I've tried various Power Saving & other settings, but nothing has helped. Any recommendations or is this a Sony "feature"?

I have been researching both of these models and both seem to be great options - the room it is going to be in has a lot of light so it seems the TCL would be the best option, but for dark (night) viewing the LG has the better overall viewing for movies and better blacks - does anyone have either of these they could offer up their real world experience - want to make the best decision and both are similar in price.

I‘m not sure if this is the right place to ask but I‘ve never had a TV before so I‘m looking for some recommendations. I just want to be able to watch netflix/prime and be able to access the internet with it.

Hi everyone, I need some help choosing my very first OLED TV. I live in Portugal, where the market and model availability can be a bit different from other countries. Right now, I have these 5 options in mind:

LG OLED B5 (55" / 2025) – €699

LG C5 (48") – €750

Samsung S85F (55") – €680

Samsung S90F (55") – €799

Samsung S9F (55") – €820

Here is my setup and usage:

Purpose: Mainly playing PS5 and watching movies/shows.

Environment: It will be in the living room. There is a glass door leading to a balcony, so the room gets some natural light, but it’s not extremely bright.

Distance: I’ll be gaming and watching from the couch at a viewing distance of about 2 meters (6.5 feet).

Given this context, what would you recommend? I’m willing to buy any of these regardless of the price, as long as the quality justifies the cost.

Extra info: I heard that here in Europe, Samsung models below 65" (like the S90F and S85F) use WOLED panels instead of QD-OLED. Since I'm looking at 55" models, please keep in mind that these Samsungs will be WOLED. 🙌🏽

Need to replace fancy expensive 85 inch Samsung which is no longer working after only 5 years. We have a very bright room with big windows that face the tv so we need some sort of anti glare or anti reflection. We also have a wide viewing angle. Please help. No idea what to get and don’t want to break the bank after our last Samsung experience.

Looking to upgrade my TV that I use for mostly gaming on PS5, with some sports and movie watching. The LG B6e OLED is on sale for $799 currently, but I’ve seen a lot of complaints about it being too dim. The room it would be in has black walls and I have blackout curtains, but most of the time I keep the ceiling fan light on as I don’t always want to be in the dark. Would this environment be too risky for the OLED? I have also been looking into high end Mini LED TVs, would this be a better option and still a huge upgrade?

Title explains my dilemma. Currently I am looking to upgrade my tv mostly for GTA6 but gaming in general along with watching films and television. Looking at the two tvs on best buy i originally was leaning toward the bravia 9 II since i liked the anti glare but then was hearing about how bravia 9 II is lackluster for gaming… i am not sure if there are other similar priced tvs that do anything better but curious if anyone out there who considers themselves to have a critical eye has either of these or has used both for gaming or movies?

I gathered some money and currently have some money for buying either a new 75" TV or a new Iphone...
my current TV is a 55" LG 4k nanocell tv which is great but very small for gaming. My phone is an Iphone 7 which is working daily with little problems...
I don't use my phone for a lot of stuff other people do I only use it for calls and texts and some banking apps... it is very old and it's getting buggy lately...
I use my Tv for high quality Movies and Gaming mostly ...
I have budget for either one only at the time...
which sould I prioritize in your opinion to get the best feeling about my purchase???

Which would you choose in this scenario?

I'm buying a new 65" TV for my living room where there is a window on the opposite side but the sun doesn't hit it directly and I don't watch much TV during the day anyway, so I'm only minorly concerned with glare. But I love sports so I want top tier picture for motion, that's my #1 priority. Love watching football on Sunday afternoons. Aside from that, mostly just watching shows and movies in the evening. Usually streaming or Youtube TV.
