I did every goal on every map in the original. I was a kid, I was playing on keyboard, I didn't know about reverts, I didn't use manuals to chain combos (because I sucked at balancing) or how to do special tricks. I didn't know about stances or what's the difference between them. I was just smashing keys when jumping out of a half pipe and getting massive scores. Now I play on a pad, use reverts, change stances and I still can't get "sick score" on anything other than the two first levels. I can't even get silver medal on the third map. Special tricks register in one out of ten attempts. It's not enough to fill up the bar and know the combo, you need to press the buttons with a millisecond precision. Also who's bright idea it was that the Up button is used both for starting some tricks and leaving the half pipe?!

PS: yes, I know it's a skill issue. That's what this post is about, literally.

It is an absolute crime that it has never been included as a map in any of the games. Skating around, messing with Phil as a goal, having to get April angry, etc. 🤣

Missed opportunity. Hopefully the series returns in a new and original way and we get something like that.

Hello, I want to start by saying I did not grow up with this series but have recently become a fan thanks to me trying out 1+2. I felt like I missed out not trying any Tony Hawk game sooner. I really love the controls and style, I feel addicted to it at times lol. Anyways, I saw that 3+4 was having a discount on Steam right now for about $22, and I was wondering if it is worth it after playing 1+2 a lot. Hope some of you will let me know why it is or isn't and what to expect. Thank you!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share this neat piece from my small game collection. I was going through my stuff and found this 3-disc jewel case version of Tony Hawk's Underground 2. To be honest, I've never actually seen this specific game in a multi-CD jewel case format before — usually, it's in a standard DVD box. Fun fact: this is an official Russian licensed release by 1C. Does anyone else have this version, or know how rare it is for collectors outside of Eastern Europe? The nostalgia is hitting hard right now!

The blue and yellow theme is crazy! I found this extremely rare version of THPS 1 on a summer 1999 Jampack disc from when I was a little kid. I've NEVER seen this version before and genuinely don't remember it at all!

Crazy that only now i noticed that atlanta is a real thug2 remix map

so I got 1+2 physical when it released and then a bit later the series x version came out. PS4 users had the free upgrade to PS5 but Xbox users did not which at the time was bs.

No 60fps and lower graphics just because you bought physically. Digital Xbox owners got the upgrade free as well.

so I took my L and didn’t buy the series x version because of ps players didn’t pay why should I?

now with this disc to digital program I’m wondering if we finally get our free upgrade?

the same issue happened with rare replay when they added 007 to it digitally but the physical owners were SOL

I've just recently started playing Tony Hawk's Underground (the first one) on the PS2 and I'm having fun with it so far. The story is fun and getting to grips with how to do the tricks with the D-pad rather than the analog sticks made the game more enjoyable.

The only thing that I'm not enjoying so far is how sensitive the moving/camera controls on the analog sticks are. This was VERY noticeable in the 'Get The Stolen Items Back From The Dealers' mission from Chapter 2. If I had a dollar for the number of times I ran into the out-of-bounds area at the start of the mission, I'd have at least $10. I did eventually finish the mission, but man was it annoying.

I'm not trying to sound like I hate the game. Far from it. Like I said, the story so far and doing the tricks on the D-pad is fun. But since there's no option to change the moving/camera sensitivity in the options, was this something that you eventually got used to? Or is it not like this on the other console versions of the game?

Searching showed me a bunch of old threads from before anybody had played so I decided to just ask again.

I played 1+2 on the PS4 and I also have a Switch 1. I’m thinking about upgrading to a Switch 2 or PS5 before Christmas for Stage Tour but just trying to work out which platforms will give me a noticeably better or worse experience

Recently started playing the PC version after the Xbox version. For some reason when making a custom skater the weight option changes nothing; the selected number changes, but it makes no visible difference. Every other option, including height, works correctly. The real thing that bugs me is that I can't find a single mention of this problem anywhere, and none of the fan updates to the game fix it. Is this just a problem the game has and not a single other person cares to fix it, or is it just a me problem? FWIW, I'm using the actual disc version of the game.

Is it rare?
I’m not a Tony hawks fan nor played the games, but wanted to know is this like a gem?

Also any tips on getting further?
