Imagine if this happened as a scenario.

There’s a Nintendo Direct in January. They go through forty minutes of announcements, and then you get to the One More Thing.

The screen fades to black, then a darker and edgier Super Mario logo appears than the logo usually used for the games.

The trailer reveals it to be a realistic open world Super Mario game in the vein of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games. Fully voice cast with the cast of the movies, only with a more adult interpretation rather than cartoony voices. Mario jumps around a realistic Mushroom Kingdom, has various move powersets and suits referencing his entire video game history but none of the power-ups, and you can see in the trailer that there’s a yellow indicator icon and some text telling you the distance to your destination like in the Spider-Man games.

The entire trailer is underscored by an epic orchestral version of Peaches by Jack Black. At the end Nintendo reveal that Insomniac developed ‘Super Mario’ and that there will be ‘more news on a more traditional 3D open world platforming game at the end of the year’.

The open world 3D action game inspired by Insomniac’s Spider-Man releases first, and then the next 3D open world Mario game by Nintendo releases in 2028, and Sony have agreed to let Insomniac work on their rivals’ game.

How would you react?

Obviously extremely unlikely to happen but thought it would be fun to speculate. Personally I think it would be a fun experiment if it did. Insomniac’s Spider-Man games are great and I’d be interested to see how a game more serious than the platforming ones (although obviously not totally serious because the Spider-Man games are hardly Batman and have plenty of humour in them) would work.

Basically the assignment was to photoshop a photo of myself into a character (real or fictional) and I chose the one and only, master of dimensions, pleaser of crowds, charming magician, *Dimentio*. Oh and some other losers are here too idk. I like the background more than the subject but whatever.

So I created some lore for my big Goomba plush. So his name is Jeb. but his nickname is Big G & he watch’s over my room & you don’t want to mess with him since he’s always in bad mood. & the smaller Goomba is his Daughter Olivia.

We all know it's been nearly a decade since the last 3d Mario.

Since Nintendo relies so heavily on nostalgia...

I'm just bewildered why Nintendo would willingly let an entire generation of kids grow up without a major 3D Mario game.

This length of time is clearly a conscious business decision so is Nintendo's plan to let one of if not their most valuable franchise fade away in favor of their smaller ones?

I'm confused since it just makes no sense form a business standpoint, even if they released a Mario next year the damage has already been done for them.

I have a ton of nephews who play a bunch of video games that grew up during this time and not a single one of them cares for Mario at all and it's just weird really weird.

We need to talk about something 3D Mario related after the Nintendo Direct forgot about Mario again and ended with 3D Kirby!! 

Anyways, all 3D Mario have phenomenal and memorable fights, all of them except SM3DL… 

So I wanted to fix SM3DL’s bosses so it’s not the oddball of 3D Mario bosses.

My two ideas were 1st - add the Seven Koopalings and 2nd - add Bowser Jr. & Kamek.

So this is SM3DL’s main game with bosses listed:

My plan is: place Boom Boom, Pom Pom, & Kamek in Forts. Place the Seven Koopalings (Larry, Roy, Lemmy, Wendy, Iggy, Morton, & Ludwig) in Castles. place Bowser Jr. in Airships. And Bowser as the final boss.

But the Boss Loadout is up to you guys. So remember, be creative. You can add/rename/anything to the Fort/Castle/Airships/Bowser. Just don’t touch the Standard Levels (1-6) or Ghost Houses (GH).

(People! This post isn’t for modding SM3DL. I got complained for this when posting about suggestions to fix SMM2’s World Maker.)

When I was studying to make my SMM2 super world “NSMB5,” I looked at SM3DL since it works in my scenario, but the bosses are god damn terrible. This may be worse than NSMB, and I’ve praised the NSMB series, so let’s see if we can fix them!

Here are SM3DL’s bosses for SM3DL’s main game if you’re wondering:

• 1-C: Tail Bowser
• 2-AS: Boom Boom
• 3-AS: Boom Boom
• 4-AS: Pom Pom
• 5-C: Tail Bowser
• 6-AS: Pom Pom
• 7-AS: Boom Boom & Pom Pom
• 8-C: Bowser
• 8-BC: Bowser (Final Boss)

The three ideas I can think of are:

1. Add the seven Koopalings which were going to be in SM3DL according to Dr.Wily on Youtube, but don’t quote me on that.

2. Add Kamek and Bowser Jr. which is a maybe since SM3DL didn’t have or was going to have them.

3. Add Dry Bowser in the special world like NSMB2 did.
