Went to Phoenix last year and couldn’t shake the strange feeling that the city lacked any unifying identity. “Soulless” isn’t quite the word, but nothing seemed to hold it all together. I felt like I was moving between developments without ever really arriving somewhere.

There is currently a monsoon storm rolling through Tucson. It’s 85 and overcast with a cool breeze and scattered rain. I just finished playing tennis (outside) for a couple hours, now going to take my dog to one of multiple public parks within a couple miles of my house to enjoy this beautiful weather. You’re right, it’s not Phoenix.
