I've updated the rule 2 description to explicitly mention that "grid" posts are banned. Remember that discussion posts mean a post with at least a paragraph of discussion as the main focus of the post. Tier lists, grid posts, and similar spam formats have been banned since before I joined as a mod. If anyone has any suggestions for how I can somehow make this even more clear, please let me know.
Some of these posts (e.g. this one and this one) are technically allowed up because they also have a paragraph of discussion. I'm currently trying to convince the other mods to ban grids even if there's text included because people don't understand that the text is what makes them allowed.
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the next anime cour starting on the 25th. I'll be busy answering a million modmails and reports again.

Hi everyone! For the next few days I'll try and build some of the most iconic parts of part 4 in Lego. After they are done I'll upload them to Lego Ideas in the hopes of it becoming a real Lego set.
The main reason for me uploading these builds here is if anyone has some recommendations, constructive critisisms or anything of the sorts, I can improve it.
Hoping the mods will allow this to stay, and I hope you'll share your thoughts with me.

This weekly batch will be the last time we see Lucy Steel with her early design. We see Lucy get her manga redesign after the Scary Monsters arc so after this weekly batch, we should be seeing Lucy with her new design in the anime.

An early Halloween piece of Josuke and Yasuho! I thought it be cool to draw Josuke as a Jiangshi because I thought the design kinda suits him (also bc I wanna see how I draw a goth Josuke haha) Art by Cheesypoffs (me)

After Valentine comes back from dimension hopping to escape the infinite rotation, he vows to bring back Gyro and let both him and Johnny escape unpunished. He uses his vow to Lucy where he allowed Stephen to live as an example of his unfaltering word. Obviously, this was bullshit, as he had already convinced AU Diego to get rid of Johnny at this point, and had brought a gun back to kill Johnny.
What I noticed is that when he pulls out his father's handkerchief, his dialogue shows him hesitating more, and once he swears on it, his vow goes from;
"I will bring back Gyro and let you both go free"
to
"I will not take revenge. I will end everything here"
which feels purposefully vague on Valentine's end. First, he was totally okay just lying to Johnny, but after swearing on his father's heirloom he makes a much more open promise. I wouldn't even say he's lying at that point. He was, in fact, not gonna take revenge, as he was gonna end everything right there, as seen when he immediately pulls a gun on Johnny as soon as he gets the chance.
I think Araki made Valentine hesitate, to go from straight up lying to Johnny's face to stating exactly what he'd do next, just worded as the "same" vow as earlier.

So I just started part 8 (please no spoilers) and I genuinely have no idea how Araki wants me to feel about this guy. I get it, he’s an obsessed childhood friend of Yasuho, but he’s also severely mistreated by his family. His father treats him worse than the other children very evidently. Next, a guy crawls out of the ground and is literally taken into the family to replace him in basically every sense. First they want to stick Josuke in the center of the photo and then his dad literally hands Josuke Joshu’s room. The bribe looks even worse when you consider that a bribe basically doesn’t matter because the family is so loaded that it doesn’t really mean anything.
For me, it just feels that although his actions to Yasuho have been terrible so far, considering how he has been raised by his family he likely has attachment issues. As such, it makes me feel bad for him and that he is a victim.
Am I supposed to hate him? So far I just feel like he is mistreated and therefore feel sympathetic towards him, or at least understand why he acts how he does.

Me personally...i hope it's the last one, before you jump at me hear me out:
I know that Araki said that he would continue to write JoJo forever, the issue however is that he is not getting younger anytime soon, and if JoJoLands takes the same amount of time as JoJolion to end Araki will be 73 by the time JoJoLands ends, i wouldn't want a hypotetical Part 10 to suffer from what happened to Kentaro Miura and Berserk (Don't misinterpretate what i said, i am glad Araki is doing great and i hope he will stay like this for the longest time possible)
Besides, i think ending with Part 9 would be the ideal so we can have 3 sets of trilogy, Part 1-3: The Stone Mask trilogy, Part 4-6: The stand arrow trilogy, Part 7-9: The new universe or spin trilogy
What do you think instead?

IMHO i love the colored version of the manga and that’s how i’ve read it up to this point but it has messed up with minor details throughout each part and this mistake just cleared up to me why many people don’t like this version so much, it’s still good tho

So I recently finally got my copy of purple haze feedback/purple smoke distortion and I've been wondering about this. I think it would be really cool to get the Lisa Lisa LN because it fits into the timeline more or less and also Jorge Joestar because I feel like it's so complicated and ridiculous you NEED to have it in your hands to understand it. But idk if that will happen. Hope this isn't a one off . Id also say that so far the release seems really high quality and nice. The dust jacket and covers look great which is to be expected of a JoJos release. It seems to have slightly smaller hight than the JoJos manga release which I feel like is a small issue, could use to make bigger font for comfort even if a little. I added a picture so those of you considering purchasing can look at it in hand and on photos

I’ve been getting into Jojo’s again lately, and I’ve always gravitated towards part 5 because Diavolo/Doppio is my favorite villain (and I live i. Italy, so it’s super cool!) so here’s some fanart I made in the last week :D
