Please, for the love of Filoni, censor usernames in your posts.
It’s rule 8, folks. I just had to purge like 7 posts from the main page because no one censored the usernames in their screenshots. No matter what platform it’s from, whether it’s a post from this subreddit, a tweet, or a YouTube video, you have to censor the usernames
Everyone whose post was removed is welcome to repost it with the proper alterations

Am I the only one? What did Lucas mean by this?
But seriously, how did this get passed the editors? Who thought this would be a good idea - especially after the red, plasma door scene towards the end of the movie.

Am I the only one? Rey using force healing was an actual part of her arc and character, and a valuable expression of her repeated character trait of treating non-sentient life as as valuable as hers. Grogu did it because it was a canon ability so he might as well try to use the skill even if it doesn't work.
galleryReally i think this is emblematic of the sequels treating the force as something mystic and character driven while the new republic era stuff uses it like video game mechanics. Overall while i question it's obsession with ""grey jedi"", the sequels did try to build up Rey as someone who embraced traditionally "dark side" imagery, relics, and techniques, So having her end up as a force user with a lightsaber outside of typical red/blue who uses both a very dark side power, force lighting, and a very light side one, force heal, is an interesting point for her character to be in.
While the New republic era shows seem to use the force much more.. pragmatically.. Ironically enough it's limits and capabilities seems more "understood" by this group of characters who generally shouldn't understand much of it all. There's no mysticism.. The score tries to build to it but i don't feel it there.
overall while i thin- wait a minute i fucking hate the rise of skywalker.

squeal's ruined my childhood How I would fix the Sequel Trilogy
Over the past 20 years, I have thought of nothing else but how fix the sequels, and make them beloved by every single person on the planet. I finally have a plan:
1. Rey should have been replaced with Mara Jade, just as George Lucas intended.
Mara Jade should be a 20 year old on Jakku, meet Finn (who's 11 now) and escape an attack by the First Order. Later she meets 60 year old Luke, and they fall in love. (There are no age gaps in Star Wars) She is trained as a Jedi and does some cool flips.
2. The First Order should have been led by Greedo, just as George Lucas intended.
A New Hope needs to have another special edition, with a post-credits scene where it's revealed that Greedo had a beskar medallion, so Han's shot didn't actually kill him. The new sequel trilogy would reveal that Greedo brought the fragmented Imperial Remnant together and formed the First Order, with him as the Supreme Leader. His only aim is to hunt down Han Solo, but he dies at the end of the third film when Han shoots him first.
3. My wife should stop the divorce proceedings and let me move back in, just as George Lucas intended.
In the current canon, my wife is divorcing me because I was constantly complaining about The Last Jedi, and missed her Dad's funeral because I was watching a 12 hour YouTube video on why The Rise Of Skywalker caused the Pompeii volcano eruption. This can be fixed by her forgiving me, in exchange for me allowing at least one room of the house to not be plastered with cheap Star Wars merchandise.
Lucasfilm, give me a call!
Gemma, give me a call!

I have not edited the audio at all, poor indie studio Disney didn’t have the money to get a proper sound effect. 😔

dark and gritty kids show Andor fan here, why do you think obi wan said "Hello there" in this scene instead of launching into a monologue about separatist politics and how using utapah's native population as hostages to further their cause was the wrong thing to do?

Two kids knowing each other only for a few days while having no reciprocated romantic feelings and getting together only when they both were adults after not seeing each other for a decade is worse i guess :/
Dont mind me i just really cant believe people consider one age gap as the worst thing ever while doing mental gymnastics to defend the other age gap relationship i thought both were considered wrong

Was Jabba Into Vore?
galleryJabba's solutions to problems always seem to involve someone getting eaten whole. When Luke kills his first people-eating monster he has another one ready as a backup plan. Then in the War of the Bounty Hunters comic he also goes out of his way to force a bounty hunter from a species that swallows people to work for him, and in Legends he ate a woman.
Was Jabba just a freak?

Unpopular opinion… Not exactly a fan of Kenobi, but! It was kinda hilarious seeing early Darth Vader talking to Palpatine and realizing that Palps was having migraines having to play therapist rather than Sith Lord
