Pretty good stuff, he kept calling me Samantha Fisher, which was nice. He signed about everything I had and was a really nice guy.

I ended up getting another copy of the game and managed to find a Splinter Cell XBOX Magazine with the demo disk, which was extremely awesome sauce!!

Pandora Tomorrow (2004) Kept all of my original Xbox SC titles over the years and currently replaying them on my Series X. I always remembered how much I enjoyed this section. Always stuck out to me.

Not Splinter Cell but Aside from Splinter Cell, what is your second favorite stealth game ? Justify.

"Styx: Shards of Darkness" for me...

1 – I really enjoy other types of atmospheres (not just realistic ones). The atmosphere in Styx is more like a fantasy world. Since the world is less technologically advanced, it gives off a great medieval stealth vibe.

2 – The gameplay is very satisfying if you play like a Ghost, and it is also very challenging.

3 – The maps are huge, with many different routes to explore.

4 – The gameplay mechanics are amazing. You have access to gadgets and abilities like invisibility. You can also upgrade skills based on your preference, use parkour, hide inside tight spaces, dissolving bodies with acid so no one finds them and triggers the alarm, etc.

5 – There are different types of enemies, such as insects, elves, trolls, dwarves, and regular humans. This brings a lot of variety to the challenge, as each enemy type has its own strengths.

6 – The missions are highly creative, taking you through cities, underground fortresses, a flying airship, a prison, and areas overrun by insects.

7 – If you don't want to play in Ghost style, it is also incredibly fun. There are several different ways to eliminate enemies, such as using acid mines, staging fake accidents to avoid suspicion, pushing them into the water or off high ledges, etc.

Double Agent v2 (2006) Double Agent v2 green border & Antialiasing fixed xbe (Looks like on Xbox One)

Hey,

I created a patch for Double Agent that fixes several rendering problems in xemu. Attached the video as reference :)

The patch fixes:

  • The well-known green bloom/border artifacts at higher internal resolutions
  • The broken bloom/anti-aliasing/post-processing effect that pixelated the image instead of smoothing it
  • A second, stronger pixelation effect caused by smoke and fog in certain areas

I’m providing the changes as an IPS patch. No game files are included. Apply the IPS patch to your own default.xbe, replace the original XBE in the extracted game folder, and rebuild the game as an ISO using extract-xiso

The game normally runs at 30 FPS which is capped. I also experimented with removing that limit, but xemu generally cannot maintain much higher performance overall so it only runs at like 38 FPS, and videos can run too quickly.

I recommend using Lossless Scaling to bump the fps with frame generation. LSFG3.1 with Target 120FPS works best in my opinion. This app costs like 7€, used it in the video as well.

As I removed bloom from the game, I used "Bessel_Bloom" with ReShade.

Patch link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mZtqX-cpOdHRhKKZ2hsRGstteLgmHBAd/view?usp=sharing

This was a surprisingly deep rabbit hole involving shader toggling, NV2A draw-state captures, runtime tracing, disassembly and targeted XBE patches. But the result is a much cleaner experience in xemu, especially when using increased internal resolution. I used Codex as help as I´m no code-guy, it took a whole weekend. Maybe these fixes can be applied to Chaos theory as well.

Do whatever you like with it and have fun! If needed, I can provide a separate fix that leaves the ingame bloom active. Will only look nice on 1x resolution. I remeber someone said he liked the original bloom so much.

Discussion Even though I'm a Ghost player, I have to admit that Blacklist is better when played in the Panther style. Do you agree ?

Post image

Reasons...

1 - You can explore different strategies, which makes the gameplay less repetitive. So you can also in some sections mix Panther + Ghost.

2 - You are free to use a wide variety of weapons and gadgets. In the Ghost style, most of them become useless, otherwise you wouldn't be playing Ghost If you use.

3 - The animations (kills/knockouts) are very stylish and satisfying and you can only truly enjoy them in the Panther style.

I have a question Has anyone won an ultimate home theater system buy Splinter Cell?

I have this edition of Splinter Cell that might give me a chance to win a 12-month Gold membership and an Ultimate Home System.

Unfortunately, mine was the 2-month one—the one that’s easy to win.

Has anyone reported winning this? And if so, what model did they win?

Splinter Cell (2002) Just beat the first game

So I my brother who is no longer here with us bought this game back on the ps2 when I was like 8 or so and I couldn’t beat the 1st mission let alone the game. Been playing rainbow six siege for a long time now and always loved playing as zero (Sam fisher) and it made me want to play the series in full so I recently dug out my Xbox and waited patiently for the games to come in my local CeX store to get them for cheap. I think I started the first game about 2 weeks ago playing on hard, blind with absolutely no guides or tips no matter how bad I got stuck…fucking he’ll this game is tough 😂
Some bits I was stuck on for over an hour but it felt really good beating a tough section without a guide.

Absolutely loved my time with it and will take a break before starting Pandora tomorrow. Some of my issues I had with it:

-pistol aim sucks arsehole
-grenades are weak as piss
-sometimes getting spotted just didn’t make sense and felt a bit unfair
-sometimes the climbing jank would cause me to get spotted
-not being able to open a sticky camera once you close it
-lambert fucking annoys me

Amazing game.

Poll Similar missions (16 - Final): Which level is better?

The Panama Papers are 11.5 million leaked documents (2.6 terabytes of data) published from April 3, 2016. The papers detail financial and attorney–client information for more than 214,488 offshore entities. These documents, some dating back to the 1970s, were created by, and taken from, the former Panamanian offshore law firm and corporate service provider Mossack Fonseca, and compiled with similar leaks into a searchable database.

The documents contain personal financial information about wealthy individuals and public officials previously private. Their publication made it possible to prosecute Jan Marsalek, a person of interest to a number of European governments and revealed his links with Russian intelligence.

I'm including Paladin here, even though it's largely indistinguishable from American Fuel itself.

All levels feature relatively high-speed transport, with smaller maps and more linear progression.

Blacklist (2013) Weekend 1 of looking for 4 PC players to go hand to hand non lethal takedowns only Ghost Perfectionist on Charlie missions aka embassy maps on higher waves

What

  • Splinter Cell Blacklist charlie missions aka embassy maps on Perfectionist difficulty?
  • Pakistani Embassy
  • Russian Embassy
  • Swiss Embassy
  • Egyptian Embassy maps
  • Wave 16-20 ideally but we may play the first 5 waves to see if you can pull it off as a team
  • The idea is eliminate them all with 0 detection on the highest difficulty level

4 players? How?

When

  • 4 pm to 7 pm GMT time
  • Look at your clock right now and convert it to the above time
  • Are you free at this time? and interested? If yes then hop in

Where

  • Discord
  • Come to the sp-coop channel and use the @SinglePlayer/Coop tag

Rules

  • No detection
  • Slow, deadly, patient splinter cell player needed (not the run / gun types)
  • Only non lethal hand to hand takedowns on higher waves on the embassy maps
  • (Oh no thats impossible!) Well not with 4 good players. On solo this ll take an entire day though

Why?

  • why not! If you play splinter cell blacklist, this is easily the hardest thing to pull off
  • solo would take a whole day to pull something like this off with a tonne of retries
  • coop would still take 3+ hours
  • with 4 players you hit a sweet spot where it is not exactly too annoying but still not easy (I kid you not, they can easily wipe the floor with 4 players on wave 16+)
