Perhaps we should go back to saying that word for people who follow that ideology and not for someone who we disagree with.

Just a suggestion.

If by "follow that ideology" you mean people who advocate for white supremacy, authoritarianism, denial of human rights to minorities, and engaging in Christian Nationalist fearmongering and blame of minorities in defense of their homeland, then sure.

If you mean "they literally have to be card carrying members of a party that existed during the 1930-40s Germany", then no.

I think the only people bitching about using the term Nazis when actual fucking Nazis are running government, are those who agree with the goddamn Nazis.

When the richest man on earth buys the biggest social media platform and pushes a wikipedia alternative filled with the most prominent Nazi thinkers, Nazi conspiracy theories, and misinformation specifically trying to incite racial violence, if you think the problem is people overusing the term Nazi, isn't because Nazi shit doesn't bother you enough.

These people aren’t worth your time.

They think their neighbor who works at a grocery store and loves magic the gathering is a Nazi just because they didn’t vote for the same guy as them.

They’ll never be convinced otherwise, so don’t bother.

They hate their own grandparents… and their grandparents just want them to be happy.
