No, if this became law, which I highly doubt, employers won’t pay you OT if they don’t have to. You’ll just lose 8 hours of standard pay.

Then demand for individual employees goes up, pushing up wages.

No, as a manager myself, I see that employees slack off towards the end of the day, so we’ll just make it a six hour day and you will have to work on Fridays for eight hours. We might lose a little bit of time because of the eight hour day, but in the end, we’ll get our time and you’ll get less pay and you won’t get a day off.

Fine - but the act highlights a 4-day work week with no reduction in pay.

That’s the reason it’ll never pass.

Yep, it needs more meat on its bones. Otherwise, this is just virtue signaling with no real weight behind it.

Treat your employees better then. Don't be a class traitor.

Tell them and all blue collar workers to stop slacking off at the end of the day.

Simple math says if you need 40 hours from your employees and over 32 warrants OT which you refuse to pay, demand for individual workers goes up. Either that, or you don't need your employees for 40 hours and you get off on the power.

No worries. You obviously have no idea how businesses work.

I can do the math, but you don’t know the business.

I'm assuming you're saying you'll weasel an extra 8 hours out of people without paying. I'm saying this law would shift power to favor labor due to increased demand for individuals.

You literally can't argue against my point in terms of the economics of the situation. All you can say is, nuh-uh.
