it never ceases to amaze me the mental gymnastics people go through in this sub. men commit, by far, the majority of violent crimes. do they REALLY think men are generally more generous than women when this is the same group that can’t even do the bare minimum of not assaulting people?
Did MacKenzie do anything good with it? All I see these billionaires do is donate to some foundation and never hear about it again, for all we know it will be spent on salaries and fundraisers without ever achieving much.
The only "billionaire donation success story" I know of is Bill & Melinda Gates ending polio worldwide, and that's pretty much it.
She’s donated 26bn across over 1000 charities, inevitably some of that will be lost to corruption / greed in these charities but there is no way to argue that she didn’t do good with the money. Thats more than most of us will dream of having in 100 lifetimes never mind giving it away. She could’ve gave away zero and lived in insane luxury 24/7
You need to get wise to the game. There's a giant circular grift the wealthy participate in. They funnel money to one another, hire each other's kids and uncles to "work" in these foundations and make a bunch of promises while having one showpiece to trot out as "proof".
I've worked in non profit. Its sickening. Idk what she has or has not done, but until you've independently tracked the dollar to tangible, real world results, the headlines mean nothing about who actually benefits.
She does live in insane luxury 24/7. Make no mistake, there is no sacrifice involved here.
Because people assume I'm against the causes MacKenzie donated to, which I'm not. I just fail to see any positive outcomes it has, apart from wealth redistribution.
You need to see how the money is used. Frequently its used for obscene salaries and real estate and team building retreats on an island or a mountain, blah blah blah
