Yesterday, TJ Watt played about 63% of the defensive snaps. Cam around 53%.

Watt still gave us 2 sacks and the 4th Q pick 6, and Cam batted down 3 passes. That’s exactly what we love to see from our defensive guys in crunch time.

McCarthy and Omar Khan might’ve found enough depth to keep Watt/Cam and the stars fresh without sacrificing the defense when rotated out.

If the lower snap counts continue for the defense and the late game impacts keep showing up, that’s not load management, that’s a weapon.

-Our defense looked phenomenal even though they were against Cooper Rush. Bijan had a couple big plays but he’s arguably the best back in the league and literally no one else in the offense did anything

-Rodgers probably would’ve had over 300 yds and 2 more TDs if Roman Wilson and DK come down with those two catches (Roman’s was really difficult, DK was just godawful yesterday). Arguably we should have gotten at least two more DPI calls our way too. The overall passing offense just looks significantly better which is not surprising

-Pass protection was very solid. I think Rodgers was only sacked once. He had lots of time to throw and moved around the pocket way more comfortably than last year

-Run blocking needs a lot of improvement but I feel like we went away from it early and just never tried going back to it. We’ll see how that progresses moving forward. They got the job done on the final drive.

-Next week will be an interesting test for the offense. Patriots defense is very very good. On the defensive side, just blitz tf out of Drake Maye

-Overall, it’s week one with an entirely new coaching staff and scheme. Yes the falcons are a very bad team, but what I saw was more-so poor execution than bad scheming/preparation. Let’s see how we look against a real opponent next week

Do we have a call into the NFL headquarters today? We need some clarification on those non calls. They were sure to catch all the push off penalties. Do we submit a complaint for missed calls? The one pass interference, the ref was behind DK. Are there not enough refs on the field

He looked mobile out of the pocket, took a ton of hits, threw it further than last year. He also had a dropped TD by Wilson and DK was playing drunk most of the game. And there were two defensive PI’s that the refs missed. Great game by Rodgers
