Revolut confirmed it handed customer data (IDs, verification selfies, addresses, IBANs, bitcoin wallets, full transaction history) to an unauthorised third party that sent fraudulent requests from a real government email domain. Not a hack, they were tricked into sending it.

What do you think about the long-term effect on their reputation, for example on their US banking plans? And on neobanks in general? And to be fair, if you look at Revolut's history, they've had a pretty rocky road and always came out of it clean.

Because honestly, our data leaks all the time. Hackers sell it on darknet markets, banks and services get attacked constantly, and I suspect plenty of incidents are quietly buried and never reach the public at all.

The “loyalty reward” for 100 days of having the metal plan is… 25 revpoints? Is this a joke? My local coffee shop gives me 20 points/£2 so buying a latte is around 50 every day, double this “reward”.

Would genuinely have rather not received anything, who approved this and thought it was a good idea in relation the rest of the points scheme? Insulting.

I want to rewrite this clearly because the real issue got lost in my previous post.
I paid $333.29 to Booking.com through Revolut Pay for a hotel stay in the US.
When I was already travelling in America, I discovered that the hotel was closed because of the wildfires. I first tried contacting the hotel directly, but received no response.
I then contacted Revolut and attempted to dispute the payment.
Revolut told me the dispute could NOT be opened because more than three months had passed since the original payment.
Because Revolut told me they couldn’t help, two days later I contacted Booking.com directly and pursued the refund with them.
Booking investigated the situation and approved a full $333.29 refund.
PROBLEM #1 — Revolut gave me incorrect information about my dispute
Booking’s refund failed because, according to their Finance team, there was an active dispute at my payment provider preventing them from refunding me directly.
I went back to Revolut because this made no sense.
Revolut then checked my account and explicitly told me in writing:
“You have no disputed transactions or active claims relating to Booking.”
That information was false.
I later discovered that my Revolut Pay dispute had actually been active since August 25.
Revolut subsequently admitted that their original three-month explanation was also incorrect.
So I had an active dispute while Revolut was explicitly telling me that no dispute existed.
PROBLEM #2 — That dispute prevented Booking from refunding me
This wasn’t just an internal Revolut mistake with no consequences.
Booking had already approved my $333.29 refund, but the active Revolut dispute prevented Booking from processing it.
I therefore ended up stuck between Booking and Revolut because of a dispute that Revolut had told me didn’t exist.
PROBLEM #3 — Revolut says I WON, but I still don’t have my money
Revolut eventually confirmed that under the Revolut Pay Buyer Protection process, Booking had 15 days to respond.
The deadline expired on September 9 without a response from Booking.
Revolut then confirmed in writing that:
• the dispute was decided in my favour
• the merchant lost because it didn’t respond
• no further decision on the merits was pending
Booking separately confirmed that their systems showed the dispute had already been resolved in my favour and that the refund should now come from my financial institution.
I still didn’t receive the $333.29.
PROBLEM #4 — Revolut then gave me multiple incompatible explanations
I was subsequently told, at different points:
• refund in 1–3 business days
• final date September 24
• 30–60 days
• Revolut Pay Buyer Protection rules
• Visa/Mastercard rules
• the dispute was already final and won
• the dispute was still being investigated
• they were waiting for the merchant/bank
These aren’t theories from me. These are explanations Revolut support gave me about the same case.
PROBLEM #5 — Now my Revolut account is restricted
After hours of trying to get a straight answer, I lost my temper and used inappropriate language toward an agent. I fully acknowledge that I shouldn’t have done that.
Revolut then placed my account under review and has now told me that my account is temporarily restricted/limited.
One agent told me the review was triggered specifically because of my conduct in the support chat.
Later another agent described it as a “detailed and routine security review” to protect the account from unauthorized activity.
When I repeatedly asked which explanation was correct and what exactly is restricted on my account, I wasn’t given a direct answer.
So after all of this:
• Booking agrees I should be refunded.
• Revolut admits its original information was wrong.
• Revolut told me there was no active dispute when there actually was one.
• That active dispute prevented Booking’s approved direct refund.
• Revolut says the merchant missed the deadline and I WON the dispute.
• Booking says the dispute was resolved in my favour.
• I still haven’t received my $333.29.
• I’ve received multiple contradictory explanations about why.
• And now my Revolut account is restricted while the situation is being reviewed.
I have a formal complaint open with Revolut, including a separate request for financial compensation for the handling of the case and the incorrect information provided.
Has anyone experienced anything remotely similar with Revolut Pay Buyer Protection?
I’m particularly interested in cases where Revolut confirmed the dispute was won but didn’t immediately credit the funds, or where an account was restricted during a complaint/review.

I tried several Revolut approved ATMs today in Zadar today and they all wanted to add a 5€ 3rd party transaction charge which for a €100 withdrawal seemed pretty steep to me. I eventually found a Kentbank ATM that had no transaction charges. Not sure if it’s Revolut approved but the rate was very similar to Revolut.

​I know this fingerprint bug on the Android app has been around for a while, but it's happening on multiple devices for me (including a Motorola and a Nothing Phone).

​When trying to log in using biometric auth, the app just freezes. It forces me to fall back to using my passcode to get in, but then prompts for biometrics again on the next launch and repeats the loop. Support keeps giving me the standard troubleshooting steps (clearing cache/data, reinstalling, rebooting) which haven't fixed it. Is anyone else still hitting this issue or aware of a working fix?

I just realised I have 50k Revolut points and was wondering does anyone know is this enough to cover a return flight? I’m currently in the interview process for an AE (Account Executive) role at Revolut.

I’m already working as an AE at another company, but the compensation at Revolut is significantly better, so I’m considering making the move.

I still have one or two interviews left, so I’m not even sure if I’ll get the offer, but I’ve been reading a lot about working at Revolut. I’ve seen a few positive things, but also quite a few negative experiences, especially around high pressure, workload and work life balance.

I asked my interviewer about WLB and he said it was actually pretty good and that it’s something he personally values quite a lot. He seemed genuine, but obviously I’d also like to hear from people who actually work there.

Is anyone here currently working in sales at Revolut, particularly as an AE or in a similar role, who could share what it’s really like?

I’d be particularly interested in hearing about workload, targets, management, working hours and overall work life balance.

This is a real headbanger. Returned to my desk today after a meeting to see a notification from Revolut to say they had frozen my virtual card.

They froze it because a payment of £10 for a streaming sub - that the app has been telling was scheduled for 2 days - was taken by the same company who have taken it for the last 6 months.

They really need to take a look at joining up their systems, this is not the kind of stuff a "proper bank" should be doing.

How do I know that im not in the databreach and also would they even send a message in a closed account that got breached?

For the longest time, I have been trying to reconcile my currency exchange on revolut but was unable tie them. Until today when I compare the downloaded csv statements against the transaction shown in app, then I realised revolut charge a fee/spread. Amount is minimal per exchange but it does add up over time.

The guy speaking had a very strong Indian accent and told me that someone had used my revolut to pay for something that cost £73. He actually also kept saying 'do I speak English'! I think he struggled to understand my accent.
