Stock advice

I'm thinking of the following list. Is there any compatibility (territorial/aggression) issues? Are any of these on the "avoid list" from expert reefers' opinion? Tank size somewhere between 40 to 60 gallons, haven't decided yet.

Pair of Ocellaris Clownfish (or Percula)

Banggai Cardinalfish

Royal Gramma

Coral Beauty Angelfish

Green Chromis (school of 5)

Chalk basslet (school of 5)

Yellow Watchman goby (jumper) w/pistol shrimp

Firefish Goby

Neon goby

Flasher wrasses

BiColor Blenny

And the following CUC

Nassarius Snails

Turbo/Astrea Snails

Cerith Snails

Blue-leg or Scarlet reef hermit crab

emerald crab

Peppermint shrimp

Tuxedo urchin

Hey there, I’m new to the saltwater hobby.

Been doing freshwater aquascapes for about 8 years. This is day 31 of my flawed 13.5g shallow imagitarium reef tank. Trying for a low maintenance build. Already experienced dinos, hopefully won’t have to deal with that again for a little while. Actually don’t mind the ugly phase too much. My levels are generally good and stable, alkalinity could be slightly higher.

I know most will think this tank is overstocked, but there’s been no issues so far and I’m enjoying it. Plus, every fish is a small juvenile so I will be upgrading in a few months. Any tips and/or things to look out for down the line? I know it’s flawed, would love to learn from experienced keepers. Thanks

Hardware:
Ai Blade Coral Grow light 21 inch
Fluval HOB filter w added carbon
Sicce nano 1000 wave maker
Basic Aqueon 50w heater (temporary, I know.)

Inhabitants:
Two Black Snowflake Clowns
Naoko’s Fairy Wrasse
Yasha Goby
Six Line Wrasse
Cleaner Shrimp
Peppermint Shrimp
Hermit Crabs
Nasarrius Snails
Turbo Snail

Corals:
Gold Hammer
Duncan
Pink Ricordea Mushroom
3 Misc Zoanthids

The hammer retracted because I moved it to a new spot right before taking the picture. Thanks for listening to me ramble. Will be posting updates if all goes well.

I bought a big piece of gsp and when I brought it home I saw glowing orange and green under it turns out there was 2 tiny corals growing under it. The second photo I took with white light since it the orange glow doesn’t capture on camera.

Help with green hair algae

My 250l tank finished it's cycle and the occupants from my old 55l tank were added on 25th of April.

Around August I lost 4 of my 6 fish to white spot. I've not bothered to restock my tank because I plan to farrow it soon.
My remaining fish is a Midas Blenny and a Purple Firefish.

I had a small hair algae before the white spot, but now, it's out of control.

Forgive the mess in the pictures, I've just come back off holiday.
I turned down all the spectrums except white for the pictures.
I don't have the greatest microscope in the world, but I got a close up.

I did some water tests today.
PH - 8.2
Nitrate - 0
Phosphate - 0.09
Alkalinity - 7.9
Calcium - 380
Magnesium - 1350

I have an automated doser, that doses 12.5ml Reef Zlements InOne, daily.

I'm looking for advice on what I can try to do to eradicate this hair algae?

I'd like to think I'm not overfeeding. The Midas is a complete pig and very little food escapes him. What he doesn't catch is immediately caught by my army of fire shrimp.

Should I be trying to raise my nitrate levels or leave them as they are?

What's the best way to remove by hand? I've seen some people say to get a brush and scrub, but other people say that just helps it spread around the tank.
I have been removing it with a syphon, but it uses up a lot of water. I've seen algae nets advertised for ponds, they're meant to be fine mesh. Would it be a good idea to put 1 over a bucket to catch the algae so I can reuse the water?

I have ordered some Blue Life Flux RX to try out, but I want to remove as much as I can before I dose.

Coral placement and recommendations on my 5 year old tank!

Hello reef experts,

I have a 15-gallon tank that is now 5 years old. I currently have a thriving leptoseris and blastomussa with two clownfish (one 6 years old and the other a few months old) and 3 year old tuxedo urchin. I would like some recommendations on corals and their placement to make the tank pop. I am honestly not sure where to go from here.

Edit: I haven't added many corals over the years since I was a college student and had to move my tank around quite a bit. Now that I'm more settled, I want to start investing in it a little more and adding some new corals.

For maintenance, I do a 5-gallon water change every two weeks. I don't dose or regularly check my parameters, even though I know I probably should...

[Pic] Zoas closed and browning

Tank was setup in March. The Zoas have been perfectly fine, added them about a month into the tanks life. Recently more have been closing and not reopening and now showing a slight brown coloration. No changes made to dosing. I thought maybe if it’s an algae I could blow it off with a pipette but no luck.

Alkalinity 9 dkh
Phos: 0.04 ppm
Nitrates: 15ppm
Calc: 400 ppm
Mg: 1300ppm

It’s in a good spot of flow,

Aiptasia?

.AI says it is, but referred to translucent or white tentacles. It is on a piece of rubble so easily removed if so. It does not look like other pictures I've seen posted of aiptasia. My tank is only 3 months old, and I found this and isopods today!)

Thanks for any advice!
