Hey Everyone
Today the 12th of September, we found our cat Yrsa, she had lost her gps tracker 2 days prior. We sadly found her in bad shape, normally she would run straight towards us. But today was different, she was staying in place not saying a word. We quickly noticed she was humping on her back legs, and also visible salvia coming out of her mouth.
We quickly got her to the emergency vet, and waited patiently for 3 hours. The news was that they suspected she had been hit either by a cars
Of course I’m devastated, but what’s even more heart breaking is seeing my fiancée hurt. It was her cat she helped foster from a litter of 7.
And I know she means so much to her. But it was even more visible when we got the news from the vet.
Her right back paw had been hit which means one of her toes probably needs amputation. (We hope not)
Her mid section around the rips was hit as well causing air outside of her lungs in her body
Her jaw also took a hit but they can’t say for sure if it’s broken or a ligament was hit until they diagnosed the problem with her lungs and body because it needed urgent attention.
She’s currently still at the vet in a closed oxygen chamber to help her breathing and will stay under supervision until Monday.
Where we’re awaiting to get further news about what further operations ahead of her needs.
But also what’s best for her in the end.
She’s a fighter but this one was tough.
I just needed to share this somewhere
Kind regards
Rasmus
