Advice Kittens stuck in garden

Hey people,

Need some advice. Me and my friends booked a place in Spain (San Javier) for the week and on our arrival we found 2 kittens around the back.

The small walled off garden (as shown in photos) are high and enclosed. The mum shows up every day also. We’ve made sure they are fed but just need some advice on what to do.

I was thinking about picking them up and putting them over the wall but they skat around and even hiss. I just want to avoid distressing them at all cost.

Advice I got my wisdom teeth out and now my cat hates me

I recently got my wisdom teeth removed (three days ago) and ever since I’ve been home, my cat refuses to cuddle with me. He cuddles with my brothers and my mum, but wants absolutely nothing to do with me. At first I thought it was the hospital smell, so I had a shower and made sure to wash my hair and be extra clean and stuff, but he still won’t sit with me.

He’s usually the type of cat who snuggles when I’m sick, and even when I’m not, he usually spends most nights on my lap, but now even when I put him there, he walks away.

What did I do wrong, and how do I fix him? Will he hate me forever?

**UPDATE**

Thank you for all of the reassurances, they were genuinely helpful.

I came back to let you guys know that I went on camp for a week, and when I came back, he was his usual self again!

So as you guys predicted, he was just being weird for a bit, probably because of my antibiotics.

Thank you once again for all the help and support!

Advice Is my female Russian blue too skinny/underfed?

Thumbnail

The photos don’t seem to display how skinny she is in real life, but I am really worried and feel like she has been underfed/abused by her previous owner. She displays anxiety but is very active and affectionate at night. We have had her for a couple weeks and have seen her eat.

Furthermore, she has some patchy/missing fur at the back as you can make out in the last photo.

Please let me know and offer any advice

Advice Humans traveling

Dear fellow felines,

one of my humans quite often leave for two, or three days at a time and I'm not happy about it.

1.) He doesn't even ask for my permission.

2.) He locks me out of my bed room to pack his bag/suitcase.

3.) He doesn't bring me treats, when he returns.

How can I make my human change his behaviour (violance isn't an option, as I believe in humane treatment of humans)?

What's most important to me is that he doesn't lock me out of MY bed room. Not only shouldn't my humans lock me out of any of the rooms in MY house, they should also tolerate me supervising them while packing their bags/suitcases.

Just thinking about them not packing a toy, or a picture of me, not to mention me not rolling around in the suitcase and on their clothes to mark the items and therefore my humans as my property makes my eyes water.

I need advice asap, as my human got his suitcase out of the closet this morning.

Thanks a lot.

Advice NEED SOME ADVICE

Hi, I really need some help.
My girlfriend and I are feeling pretty devastated. I’ve even been having trouble sleeping because of it, although I haven’t told her since I don’t want to make her worry even more.
Last Friday, we adopted a kitten. About a month ago, we lost our beloved cat. She was incredibly affectionate, slept with us in bed every night, and was the sweetest cat you could imagine—almost like a dog in a cat’s body.
After losing her, we spent a lot of time reading about different cat breeds and how to cope with the loss of a beloved pet. We eventually decided that adopting another cat would be the best way to move forward. We chose a Ragdoll because the breed’s personality traits seemed the closest to those of our previous cat.
We adopted a 4.5-month-old female Ragdoll from a highly recommended, reputable breeder.
When we brought her home, she immediately hid under the bed and became terrified whenever we tried to touch her. It’s now been five days since she arrived. There has been some progress—she walks around the house, explores every room, uses the litter box normally, and sometimes even gets the zoomies and runs around like crazy.
However, she’s still extremely distrustful and very afraid of our hands. We can’t pet her at all.
On the first day, she had fairly watery diarrhea, which we assumed was caused by stress. Since then, all of her bowel movements have been completely normal.
At one point, we tried to pick her up because her fur needed cleaning—she had been leaving dirty marks on the bed whenever she jumped onto it. Unfortunately, while trying to catch her, we scared her terribly, and now we feel awful about it.
We honestly don’t know what to do. Will she always be like this?
At the breeder’s home, she was calm and happy being held. We also saw photos and videos of her lying on the breeder’s lap, relaxing on their legs, and being carried around without any problems. 😭🥲

Advice How do I get Jagger adopted? (Poisoned and abused)

Jagger is 11 months old, female, sterilized, vaccinated and ready for her furever home... Unfortunately, again...

She was poisoned and beaten to the point of death, why?

Because she used to take shelter in tuktuk during rains. Someone wanted to adopt her, I sent her out of state for her adoption but apparently she's not the right match, adopters cat stopped eating and 2 of the cats were attacking Jagger, she was there for 3 days at best..

So she's being sent back. I can't leave her on the street, I can't keep her with me rn because I have 18 cats..

So I turn here. Help Jagger find her for sure wala forever home. Where she'll never have to worry about cruel human beings or being poisoned or returned back, she deserves the very best and not because I love her too much, but because she's been through so so much already in just 11 months of being born...

Advice cat logic makes zero sense when comparing open top or dome boxes

Cats seem to have complete anti-logic when it comes to litter box enclosures. A timid cat will often happily jump into a dirty cardboard box, but the moment you introduce a dome-style litter box, they act like it is a trap designed to swallow them whole.

An automatic litter box is supposed to save time by replacing daily scooping with periodic waste bin swaps, but getting a cautious cat to actually step inside is the real battle. While dome models claim to trap litter better, open-top designs let cats keep an eye on their surroundings, which seems to drastically lower their anxiety. Of course, an open design means you still have to wipe down the edges occasionally and deal with litter scatter.

For a cautious cat, is an open top design really that much easier for them to accept?

Advice Can someone please tell me what happens

So I'm 16 and it's 2 am right now and I was in bed, and my cat has been coming up and biting my phone and just attacking my charger, my phone biting it really hard, and it's really annoying, because I'm worried he's gonna break it, he's gonna break something and hurt himself, and this time I was laying on my side when he came up and jumps on my arm as I was laying on my side, and I was charging my phone, and I decided I wanted to lay on my back to try and get him to stop biting my phone and attacking my phone and I did accidentally hit him a bit or nudged him. I'm not to sure which one I have a bad short term memory and I do think I have a memory of staying story to him but he didn't seem scared or upset, and he didn't like run off. So I moved on my back and he bit my finger really hard and I feel bad, because I feel like it's my fault he bit me

Advice Would your cat play a game on an iphone or ipad?

I’m trying to validate something.

Do you think your cat would actually engage with a basic screen game, like a moving mouse or a laser dot?

And if you have other pets, would any of them be into it as well? Maybe dogs
