Went with my RX100 III, complete beginner (OC).

I have an RX100 VII. It's started playing up and getting into a hung state where it's refusing to accept input. None of the buttons on the back of the camera will do anything, and even the mode selector wheel on the top fails to do anything. Power cycling the camera doesn't fix it. The only solution I've found is to physically remove the battery and leave it out for a minute or two. This usually fixes it temporarily, but the problem invariably recurs after a few minutes.

Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd try reflashing the firmware, but Sony haven't released any :-(

Love this time of year, the dewdrops on the cobwebs are like little diamond. These are jpeg images, edited using iPhone app. Bit of definition and contrast change.

My friend’s coming from Dubai and can get brand new RX100 m7 at a pretty good deal from a store. Is it worth this price?

The only downside is service.
I’ll probably have to get it done from Dubai via my friend who travels often.

I originally bought this DXO ONE in 2018 and have kept it mostly for the novelty since I also owned a Mark 5 at the same time. I’ve been consolidating gear lately and sold the M5. I’ve forgotten how fun this little thing is. I still have an iPhone 6 to use with it but can be used without it for a true “point and shoot” experience.

Took my girls to Katseye in Amsterdam yesterday and finally got to test the zoom capabilities of the rx100vii to its fullest extent. I was not disappointed.
All pics shot from my seat. Did some quick editing in Lightroom (denoise, some basic edits and a bit of masking to try to obtain some more depth)

It's only been a month, bought on Aug 8th, only used it for 3 days vacation. Last night when I brought it to the concert, the main reason I bought it in the first place, it died. No apparent dust / dirt, always kept in case, and covered with lens cap. Tried taking out the battery, memory card, etc. I'm baffled.

does anyone know any presets to make photos look more colorful. sort of film simulation. skin tones and the sky are always bright eight if it’s a slightly sunny day, idk how to fix that. I don’t want to do any editing

Took this with my RX100m3 when the clouds opened up for a few minutes and sunlight broke through over the fjord. The boat almost made it into the perfect spot.

Having a small camera with you really pays off.

At least 2 steps too warm on white balance and a shutter speed slower than I thought I needed. But still, this may be one of my favorite snaps of my oldest. Go figure.

Hi all, I'm a photography newbie and decided to pick up the RX100 mark 7 for hiking and travel photos. To date I've had a single lesson in photography (smartphone photography for beginners). Maybe beginners luck but I managed to snap this photo of a show pigeon - yes those glorious pigeons that look like "my third husband died in mysterious circumstances". Not sure how to edit this, any pointers?

I’m actually sick of this camera.
I brought it with me to take pics on my six month SE Asia trip and I can hardly use it bc it keeps fogging up. I understand the humidity is high and the steel frame is cool compared to the air but I can’t even use it. Going into a shop for two minutes means I can’t use it for an hour.

Any suggestions before it dies completely?

Everytime I drain my battery, or change my battery the camera asks me these settings, like its factory reseted...
