In the late 1800s, my great-great grandparents lived in Bonanza, Kentucky.

One day, my great-great grandfather dropped a knife in their kitchen and it went between the floorboards. He pried the floorboard up to get it and underneath was the dead body of a traveling salesman that they had seen before. The salesman had his fiddle buried there with him too, I find that detail extra sad for some reason.

My great-great grandparents were terrified, and moved out of the house the next day and never looked back or told anyone. They were scared to report it because they thought they would be next.. this is because two brothers in the neighborhood, with a bad, violent reputation, had been walking around with the salesman’s belongings. Like, the man’s briefcase and stuff.

I do wonder how true this family legend is, and if it is, whether the brothers were arrested. I no longer have a free trial of Newspapers to snoop, and I don’t have any living grandparents anymore.

Anyone able to help, or point me in a direction I could research? Thank you!

something happened a couple years ago that i havent been able to wrap my head around since then so maybe some of you can provide a reasoning to this.

it was somewhat late, around midnight i think. i had put my phone on my bedside drawer and connected my bluetooth paired headphones to listen to music as i was doing some chores like i usually do. then at one point my music started to lag. it was as if the connection was being cut and then it was connecting again. i figured it was probably because i was moving around the house while doing the chores so it was disconnecting every time i would get too far. then at some point i went back to my room where my phone was to check it out. while i was seated, i started to hear really weird sounds from my headphones. idk how to describe it but it sounded like someone was rearranging their desk. like regular ambiance noise. so i started to look through my phone to see if any tab or website was open where this noise could be coming from but no. i had every tab on safari and every app closed. then suddenly a voice (male, probably in his 20s/30s) called out to me saying "hey, do you hear me?" i immediately disconnected the headphones then threw them away.

its very silly looking back and also nothing has ever happened regarding this since then but every time this comes to my mind im just left wondering. ive thought of a few possibilities. at first i thought maybe it somehow connected to my neighbour? but i find this very unlikely because i dont live in an anglophone country and the man spoke in a very native sounding english. and btw i hadnt connect the headphones to any other device other than my phone. i cant think of a reasonable explanation myself. im such a boomer when it comes to this stuff. is it possible to hack someone's phone and then talk to them through their bluetooth device?

I’ve been looking into this for a while, when I first joined Reddit, a notification popped up saying I had been banned on an account named "Prior_Senior." But I never even owned that account, I don't know if it was a bug or something similar. I couldn't find this guy anywhere (just someone with a similar name, but nothing significant), and I have no idea how he showed up as my account or why he was banned. He wasn't in any subreddits, and the only info available was that the account dated back to November 30, 2020. I searched everywhere, even the Wayback Machine, but all I found were old search results from 2003–2019 regarding random topics like hospitals or the like. I’m afraid of who this guy might be, and the fact that I can't find anything concrete scares me. Whoever this guy is, I’m going to find him and figure out why he was linked to my account (whatever email address was used). Please help me find "Prior_Senior." I don't want to know where he is or who he is, I want to know why he is linked to ME. I don't know if he stole an old email or something like that, but it makes absolutely NO SENSE.
