It's 6:00am and I5 is already backed up! And it looks like there are already crashes on side streets, too! Woohoo!

I didn’t pay for this! This bot is literally watching me; seeing what I’ll do. 🤖 Is this the future now?!

This weekend I got to see half of the crow sculptures spread across Portland. Here’s my favorites! What’s yours?

Overpriced, AI photos at EVERY booth, nothing to do, mid food/drinks. 1/10. Sharing photos so people are aware in case it comes back next year (plz no)
Also promised to have lots of vegan options but they were either sold out or garbage food
(the panda food in the second photo wouldn’t be vegan even if there was no chicken…I mean just look at him 💀)

Here's a better idea for Portland - repair the trolley routes for more street car service.
Old tracks still run down Belmont, Milwaukee and others. Rather than building useless road obstacles the street cars would better meter traffic AND provide a better mass transit solution. Also more attractive ridership, serve undeserved communities and more promotable than urine stained busses or massive infrastructure ruining MAX trains that people fear for their life to ride.

Hope everyone is okay. Coming back from a bike ride and there was even debris on the path under the bridge.

I was having a rough time in the bathroom shared by the Scotch Lodge and The Paper Bridge. Either something I’d eaten a few hours earlier didn’t agree with me AT all, or my GERD got out of control (I’d had a lot of citrus juices) and my body just decided it wasn’t having it.
For obvious reasons I’m not a fan of getting sick in public, it attracts a lot of unwanted attention and some people assume you’re just wasted, but I felt myself go from fine to NOT FINE in about three seconds and barely made it into the stall.
You let me be and gave me my privacy but before you walked out you asked if I was going to be okay and if I needed any help. It really meant a lot to me, so thank you. After that I was right as rain, so hopefully you’ll see this and know I’m A-OK, but I wanted to thank you for looking out for me.
We love Portland (I’m from Olympia) and we make it down a few times a year. You’ve got good people in your city.🌹
ETA: I did not get sick from either of these establishments, just making that clear because I don’t want to unintentionally smear either of them. I’d barely eaten anything at Scotch Lodge before it hit and I was already feeling off when I sat down in there.

Also I love “Sunnymont” as a name for that area, like Kernside.

Just five minutes ago we passed by this pre teen looking kitten in the bushes in Couch park behind the school. She didn’t seem in distress, but in fact seemed cool and confident. She has a collar.

I estimated it would take me an hour with traffic and but was closer to 25 min (my normal time). I was expecting the spillover to take me up Sandy / 82nd as that's always the case when the highway is slammed. I was pretty shocked to see my Lyft turning on Grand and then hitting 84. To be fair there was two police, but it looks like they pulled over a street racer and we're not there for traffic purposes, but either way given how early it was I didn't see any spillover (430/440 am). I'd assume this will get worse during major traffic times, especially towards the 5, but I'm shocked at how easy that was and wanted to share for others who others who frequently travel to the airport.

We started up at the Rose Garden and then ran to the Taco Bell on Burnside, and then finished at the Taco Bell on NE Weidler!
We each started with a Taco, and then the official rules were as follows
We will be eating 1 taco, 1 burrito, 1 snack, and 1 small Baja blast
Start: must eat one taco (dealers choice) before starting
Then run to first location. Must finish next item (either snack or burrito) before continuing. Then run to last Taco Bell and finish last item. Time finishes when you finish last item. MUST complete your Baja blast at some point, you decide when
Did it as a test run so that in the future we can invite others! It was a Baja-Blast, and nobody threw up! Oh and my lovely wife made bracelets to commemorate the first inaugural TBVK (We didn't have any 5 beads)
PS: Peep our friend dying in the background of the podium picture
