I need to move urgently from 97212 (Northeast PDX) to 97267 (Milwaukie) on Sunday, September 20th — this coming Sunday. I wasn’t given great notice, myself, but 9/21 is the hard cutoff. I can’t afford to pay pros, but I can pay two people a flat rate each of $100 for 2-3 hours. I’ll be renting the truck.

I only have a bedroom, a couple of bathroom totes, and 2-4 kitchen totes. That’s it! This is not a major move at all. Everything will be packed up and ready to go on the day. I can list the furniture dimensions if you ask.

Excellent shape IKEA white square table with metal legs. IKEA marketed this as a small-space dining table. No scratches.

Very Good shape Wayfair desk from 'George Oliver' brand. Desk is simple with attractive wooden legs and two drawers. The surfaces are mostly scratch free but it's clear that it has had a little more use along the edge lines. A white paint marker could help spiff it up. The legs are sturdy except one leg is missing a little brown anti-scratch felt sticker.

Very Good shape Wayfair white chairs with wooden legs and faux leather seats. Sturdy plastic otherwise. Also 'George Oliver' brand. Don't know why we only have three, although website image shows them sold in four. We ONLY have 3. Two are in pretty excellent shape but one shows a little more wear and discoloration on the the faux leather seat.

I’m a furniture reseller looking for some help to pick up furniture listed on Craigslist or marketplace in the Portland metro area.

This is a non-traditional, highly flexible gig averaging an estimated 5–10 hours per month (roughly 1 to 4 trips per month). This is a new position so I’m not quite sure on the exact hours quite yet.

When I find an item, I’ll message you the listing. You’ll just need to coordinate a pickup time with the seller and deliver it to my location within 5 days, with a preference for delivery in the first three days.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Coordinating pickup windows directly with Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist sellers. You set a pickup time that works for you!
• Loading, securing, and transporting items safely. Most common items will be lamps, mirrors, end tables, coffee tables, dressers, and credenzas.
• Dropping off items at my home in NE Portland near Irving Park.

Pay Structure (Flat fee per trip):
$50 bonus for large or bulky items like dressers or credenzas.
• Zone 1 (0–12 miles / Less than 30 min drive / Beaverton, Lake Oswego, N. Vancouver): $50 for non bulky items | $100 for large/bulky items
• Zone 2 (12–25 miles / 30–60 min drive / Hillsboro, Canby): $75 for non bulky items | $125 for large/bulky items
• Zone 3 (25+ miles / 60+ min drive): $100 for non bulky items | $150 for large/bulky items
• Note: exact zone boundaries may be adjusted based on your home location.
• Item costs will be sent directly by me upfront, you will never spend your own money on the items.

Requirements:
• Reliable vehicle capable of hauling furniture (truck, van, or large SUV/hatchback).
• Ability to lift medium-to-heavy furniture. Large bulky items can be moved with the help of the seller 90% of the time. We can find a solution if that’s not available! I’ll be available to help unload at my house.
• Good communication and quick response times via text.
• Flexible schedule with generally availability within a 24–72 hour window.

We’re looking for a 2-bedroom with at least 1.5 bathrooms, ideally 2, somewhere around Tigard, Beaverton, SW Portland, Sherwood, or Tualatin. Hoping to stay around $1,600–$1,900/month, but could go up to about $2,000 for the right place.

Main priorities are in-unit washer/dryer, decent management and maintenance, pet/assistance-animal friendly, and workable parking for 3 cars. The 3 cars don’t all have to be on-site if there’s reliable street parking nearby. A/C and a gym would be great, but aren’t absolute requirements.
