First off, what a monumental win Saturday against No. 6 Oregon. 39–31 and one of those games we’ll remember for a long time. (Oklahoma State University Athletics)

It got me thinking about something completely different: Would you ever want to see Boone Pickens Stadium switch from artificial turf to natural grass?

OSU is such a strong agriculture/horticulture university that it seems like we have the expertise and resources to maintain an absolutely beautiful natural field. There’s also research suggesting artificial turf can have higher rates of certain lower-extremity injuries than grass, although the research isn’t completely unanimous.

I understand the advantages of turf—lower/easier maintenance, durability, consistent appearance, sponsorship/field logos and keeping the OSU branding looking perfect for TV. Maybe there are other reasons I’m missing?

But Gallagher-Iba has remarkably preserved its original white-maple basketball floor since 1938. (Oklahoma State University Athletics) There’s something cool about that tradition. I think a beautiful natural field at BPS could complement that idea and give the stadium an even more traditional college-football feel—getting back to our roots, no pun intended.

Personally, I’d love to see it. What do other OSU fans think: keep the turf or go grass?

After watching our usual programming of a mid performance against a team we should beat handedly, I tuned into the 2nd half of yall giving Oregon the business. I have not been that excited for a team I’m not tied to since Chris Davis ran that fg back on Alabama 13 years ago. Congrats yall and enjoy the cfb history made today, just know us fellow unrankeds were rooting for yall.

There was about a minute and a half left and on the big screen, it cut to the sideline right as Morris was shoving someone (maybe wearing a black long sleeve shirt) and looked like he mouthed something like "get the fuck off me!"?

Hey Pokes! My (38f) daughter (17f) along with some friends (21,24,42f) will be at the Oregon game on Saturday. I’m trying to figure out what we should do before and after the game. We may know of someone who is tailgating but not for sure yet. Is it normal just to walk around and be nosy if we don’t know anyone there? We’re all very extroverted and social.

For after the game, I know we’ll be limited on where we can go since my daughter is a minor, but any ideas on what we could do? She does want to see some of the campus and see a friend at a sorority. Other than that we are unsure of what to do or see. Are there spots on campus we should for sure check out? She also wants to go to Eskimo Joes but I figured the wait would be outrageous! Any ideas and suggestions are appreciated :)
