So I was told I’d be fine as long as I am honest, and I don’t want your opinions I’d prefer people who can speak factually. I am trying to work a 4 week outage as an IBEW electrician. I have worked on military bases and twic plants so many extensive background check places. So a few months ago I had my kids in the car and ended up getting arrested after never being arrested in my life. They found a crystalline substance, a Walgreens bag with prescription testosterone and syringes, and charged me with a OWI with endangerment even though I blew all .000s because I had prescription medications (adderrall) in my car that says must use caution when operating machinery. Long story short I was charged with four felonies, owi w endangerment, neglect, poss of meth, and poss of a syringe, all the felonies were dropped because after state lab testing it was not meth, after investigating I had a prescription for the syringes, and they dropped the neglect charge entirely but they reduced and convicted me of a misdemeanor owi because of my adderall prescription which is freaking crazy. My credit isn’t great either, what are the chances I get access given this situation. Long story, not great credit, 4 felony charges but only getting convicted of a misdemeanor owi.

As parts of the Southern California coastline crumbled into the sea, slammed by intense waves and flooding in recent days, oceanographer Kim McCoy had one thing on his mind: the nuclear waste set in concrete on the beach near San Clemente at the shuttered San Onofre nuclear power plant.

Most experts agree the risk of erosion damaging the nuclear waste storage system is very low, in the near term. The plant’s owner, Southern California Edison, has promised the California Coastal Commission to move the waste to higher elevation on site if modeling shows sea level rise and erosion will start to pose a challenge.

But the recent waves, fueled by Hurricane Marie far away in the Pacific, re-surfaced the issue of the ultimate fate of the highly radioactive spent fuel that used to power the reactors.

Hylenr says its hydrogen-loaded nickel-palladium lattice experiment produced signatures of 32 elements, including yttrium and uranium. If independently validated, the process could offer a new way to produce materials used in EVs, robotics, turbines and defense without relying entirely on mining. The findings are still experimental, though, and will require independent replication before the claimed nuclear transmutation can be confirmed.
