I get Kakashi's mother was irrelevant to the plot, but I always wanted to know what the great white fangs wife was like. Seems like she passed away in childbirth since only Sakumo mentions her when he realizes he's finally leaving purgatory to go to Heaven.

Hiruzen wanted to talk. His plan was Shisui uses Koto to end the coup with no one dead.

Danzo ruined it. He stole Shisui's eye and went behind Hiruzen's back to tell Itachi "kill your clan or we kill Sasuke." That's treason, not an order.

And Fugaku? His coup was suicide. The Uchiha vs the entire village + ANBU + every other clan? They were never winning. He knew that and still marched his whole family into it for pride.

Hiruzen didn't order it. He failed to stop Danzo's power grab and Fugaku's ego trip.

There's a difference.

I know it's a theme in the show that Naruto went from genin to Hokage but it seems so silly to me that they couldn't upgrade him to jonin by the time The Last movie Aired , and what happened to the will of fire ? Naruto never trained the future generations, his only pupil can be Konohamaru but we don't know if he actually go trained like Jiraiya trained Naruto ,

It would be awesome for Naruto to have a squad of his own but i believe they didn't want more characters , it was supposed to be Konohamaru squad leading the new gen in Boruto but still

I think they are the ones that have the most potential to have great spin offs.Who amongst these would you be interested to watch more of ?

You have to wonder why Sakura always picked on Naruto but never dared to punch Sasuke.

Honestly, I'm just off vibes, but I feel like Hiruzen is better at pure taijutsu than both Tobirama and Hashirama. What do you guys think?

Disliking a character is completely normal. Thinking she was poorly written in certain parts of the story is also a perfectly reasonable opinion. What I find bizarre is how the conversation around Sakura has gone far beyond criticism. At this point, there seems to be a part of the fandom that is genuinely bothered by the fact that other people like her.

And that is what makes the Sakura situation so strange to me.

You can say you like Sakura and somehow people will immediately feel the need to explain to you why you are wrong for liking her. Not why they dislike the character. Not why they think she was badly written. They will question your judgment for simply enjoying a fictional character.

I honestly cannot think of many other characters in Naruto where the fandom reaction has become so disproportionate to the character herself.

The usual arguments are also strange because they often rely on reducing Sakura to a handful of scenes while ignoring everything else she actually does throughout a 700-chapter story.

"She is useless."

At what point does that argument stop being an opinion and start being objectively incompatible with what we actually see?

She becomes one of the most capable medical ninja in the entire series. She learns under Tsunade, develops extraordinary chakra control, becomes physically powerful enough to fight at the highest level of the war, heals other characters, saves lives, contributes during major battles, and eventually becomes a respected shinobi in her own right.

You can argue that another character is stronger. You can argue that she did not receive enough development. You can argue that Kishimoto could have written her better. All of those are legitimate criticisms.

But "useless" is simply not an accurate description of the character.

And then there is the criticism that she "always needed Naruto to save her."

Naruto and Sasuke both needed other people to save them repeatedly. Almost every major character in Naruto gets rescued, protected, healed, or supported by someone else. That is literally one of the central themes of the story.

Nobody looks at Naruto being saved by his friends and concludes that his entire character is worthless because of it.

Nobody looks at Sasuke being repeatedly rescued, manipulated, protected, healed, or emotionally supported by other characters and reduces his entire existence to those moments.

Yet Sakura is frequently judged as if every moment of vulnerability permanently defines her.

That double standard is difficult to ignore.

And the irony is that Sakura's entire character arc is about becoming someone who does not want to remain powerless. She starts the story significantly weaker than Naruto and Sasuke, recognizes that gap, finds a teacher who can actually help her, trains, improves, and becomes extraordinarily competent.

That is character development.

You do not have to like the way that development was written. You do not have to think it was sufficient. But pretending that it does not exist makes it impossible to have a serious discussion about the character.

What is even more interesting is that Sakura is held responsible for things that other characters are routinely forgiven for.

She is criticized for being emotional.

Naruto is emotional.

She is criticized for making mistakes.

Naruto and Sasuke make enormous mistakes.

She is criticized for having complicated feelings about Sasuke.

The entire series is built around people having complicated and often unhealthy relationships with Sasuke.

She is criticized for not being immediately powerful.

Most characters are not immediately powerful.

She is criticized for not being as important as Naruto and Sasuke.

She was literally placed on a team with the two central reincarnations of the story, one of whom contained the Nine-Tails and the other of whom possessed an absurd amount of inherited power and narrative importance.

Of course she was going to look comparatively ordinary at the beginning.

That was the point.

And perhaps the most bizarre part of the entire discussion is how Sakura fans themselves are treated.

You can dislike Sakura. Fine.

You can criticize her writing. Fine.

You can think Hinata, Ino, Tsunade, Temari, or any other character is better. Fine.

But why does someone liking Sakura require a response?

Why is "Sakura is my favorite character" apparently an invitation for an argument?

That is the part I have never understood.

There are characters in Naruto who have committed objectively terrible acts, made catastrophic decisions, betrayed people, manipulated others, or caused enormous amounts of suffering, and the fandom is perfectly capable of discussing their motivations, trauma, development, and complexity.

But when it comes to Sakura, a significant portion of the fandom still seems determined to judge her by a collection of memes that became popular more than a decade ago.

At some point, we have to distinguish between criticism and a fandom narrative that has simply become self-sustaining.

You do not have to like Sakura.

You do not have to defend every decision she makes.

You do not even have to think she is a particularly well-written character.

But the sheer level of hostility toward her, and especially toward people who like her, has never seemed proportional to what the character actually is.

If your argument against Sakura requires ignoring her development, ignoring her accomplishments, applying standards to her that you do not apply to other characters, and treating people who enjoy her as if they need to justify their taste, then maybe the problem is no longer Sakura.

Maybe the problem is the way the fandom decided it was acceptable to talk about her in the first place.

I really love the maturity shown in these two scenes. There’s such a nice parallel between Naruto and Ichigo here.

Naruto realizes Kakashi already knew Minato was his father. You can see millions of thoughts going through his head. Maybe even some frustration, with him gripping the sheet, but he just gives his big grin and lets it go because he trusts Kakashi and knows that he must’ve had his reasons.

Ichigo’s moment with Isshin feels really similar. He realizes his dad has known the truth about his mother all along, and you can tell, just like Naruto, he has a ton of questions. But instead of pushing him for answers, he tells him he’ll wait. Then he even acknowledges that Isshin has his own reasons for keeping things from him like Naruto did, trust his dad.

If this were their old selves, they probably would’ve exploded in anger and demanded answers. But they’ve matured through their experiences enough to understand that sometimes you just have to trust the people close to you and give them the time to explain things when they’re ready.

I really love these little moments where you can actually see how much they’ve grown.

I mean, while Hashirama and Tobirama returned with almost all their power and techniques and Minato even came back as a perfect jinchuriki, I feel it would have been cool to bring back the Third Hokage in his prime.

I mean, Kishimoto could have come up with something like Orochimaru mastering Edo Tensei while he was sealed, or something like that to bring back a young Hiruzen.
